lukielcfc Posted 18 April 2011 Posted 18 April 2011 Hi guys I believe if we are going to mount a push for the premier league next season we need to be adding championship quality to our squad, Out of the loanees we have ATM naught on and mee are the only 2 worth going for ( as vitor won't happen ) Kamara on a free I feel will be a great addition give him a pre season with the squad etc he will be a 20 goal a season striker But I do feel we need experienced quality championship players, players that have been in this league and done it We should go for Westwood - cov scum Graham- watford Eagles- burnley Long and kebe- reading Would all add quality to our side and I feel we could use our spending power to sign such players rather than big name has beens.... What do you think...?
Fox92 Posted 18 April 2011 Posted 18 April 2011 I agree with your five players for starters. And, I think we should have a look at Montgomory from Sheffield United. I don't like him, but he gets stuck in, he's a ball winning midfielder with expierience of the Championship. There is a lot of players that we need though...
Jackirius Posted 18 April 2011 Posted 18 April 2011 Which two of Wellens, King and Gallagher would you drop?
Haydos Posted 18 April 2011 Posted 18 April 2011 Which two of Wellens, King and Gallagher would you drop? THE **** is with your sig? I just......I can't comprehend it
Christoph Posted 18 April 2011 Posted 18 April 2011 THE **** is with your sig? I just......I can't comprehend it Sat there for like 2 minutes staring at it the first time i saw it
gazfox9 Posted 18 April 2011 Posted 18 April 2011 I've been impressed with Darren Pratley of Swansea when I've seen him. Wouldn't be at all disappointed if we made a move to try and sign him.
cc_star Posted 18 April 2011 Posted 18 April 2011 Westwood, Long & Kebe will be plying their trade in the prem next year. We need a defensive coach, we need an experienced centre-half and we need a ball winning midfielder We also need some Championship 'hardness' to go with all the fancy one-touch stuff we're quite good at
funkyrobot Posted 18 April 2011 Posted 18 April 2011 I think we should sign hatch, John colby, ray and Fernandez from the allies team in escape to victory.
Jackirius Posted 18 April 2011 Posted 18 April 2011 Is it getting closer and closer!? THE **** is with your sig? I just......I can't comprehend it Sat there for like 2 minutes staring at it the first time i saw it Has the desired affect then, tripping me out.
cc_star Posted 18 April 2011 Posted 18 April 2011 I think we should sign hatch, John colby, ray and Fernandez from the allies team in escape to victory. And Sly Stallone as keeper
Bert Posted 18 April 2011 Posted 18 April 2011 Sven mentioned he's a big admirer of Pratley. Would love him here.
jonthefox Posted 18 April 2011 Posted 18 April 2011 Which two of Wellens, King and Gallagher would you drop? Your sig gives me a headache.
STEVIE B Posted 18 April 2011 Posted 18 April 2011 Simon Cox & Giles Barnes ( he must think I'm stalking him ! )
Donut Posted 18 April 2011 Posted 18 April 2011 Theres a number of these threads knocking about. Like Fox92's train of thought on the midfield 'nasty' man, someone to win the ball, use it simply and thats something our team really lacks. Nick Montomgery would fit that bill, Michael Brown, Lee Bowyer..... dunno if hes out of our equation but Cattermole?

What do you think...? I agree we need to add new players but not necessarily from the Championship, a lot of football fans fail to realise that staying in the Premiership is an awful lot tougher than getting there, I believe we need players that'll get us up and keep us there, the only player I'd be happy to be in the first 11 next season is Kyle Naughton, I don't think the rest are good enough, we need a virtually new first 11 in my opinion. I don't think any of the players you've mentioned bar Westwood are good enough. Westwood is a good keeper, but he is playing for a local rival. Heres who I'd buy: GK Fraser Forster from Newcastle United, currently on loan to Celtic. My link RB Kyle Naughton from Tottenham Hotspur, currently on loan to us. CB Simone Sini from AS Roma, currently on loan to Lecce. My link CB Michele Camporese from Fiorentina. My link LB Layvin Kurzawa from AS Monaco. My link CM Michael Bradley from Borrussia Monchengladbach, currently on loan to Aston Villa. My link CM Tasos Lagos from Panathinaikos, currently on trial with us. My link RAM Cristian Tello from Barcelona. My link CAM Freddy Adu from Benfica, currently on loan to Caykur Rizespor. My link LAM Andrew Driver from Hearts. My link ST Nils Petersen from Energie Cottbus. My link Now thats more ****in like it.
Mav Posted 19 April 2011 Posted 19 April 2011 Anybody who wants nick Montgomery is not right in the head. Hes useless

Just in case you weren't aware.
Ambitious Posted 19 April 2011 Posted 19 April 2011 You're allowed to buy players after you've been promoted. Just in case you weren't aware. So splash out a load of money this summer, then the following summer splash out more money, the players you spent loads on the previous summer arn't good enough to get in your first 11, so you basically waisted money the previous summer, yea good business.
Ashley Posted 19 April 2011 Posted 19 April 2011 Sven mentioned he's a big admirer of Pratley. Would love him here. Also Scott Sinclair.

You've selected a player we currently have on trial despite apparently never seeing him play and asking in another thread how he's been getting on. I'm going to assume you've googled him and youtube'd him and decided you like the look of him.
Brainy Posted 19 April 2011 Posted 19 April 2011 Lee Cattermole would be ideal if you wanted to finish the majority of the games he plays with 10 men.

OR find some medium ground. Like a sane person.
