Kitchandro Posted 20 April 2011 Posted 20 April 2011 if spurs accept both offers yes But surely they'd accept the highest one only, with it being in their interests to get more money?
Jimmy Posted 21 April 2011 Posted 21 April 2011 But surely they'd accept the highest one only, with it being in their interests to get more money? they could accept 1 from qpr and we bid higher after they had accepted the qpr 1 and then accept ours too
James18 Posted 21 April 2011 Posted 21 April 2011 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/13161086.stm Leicester City loanee Kyle Naughton has said he would happily return to the Walkers Stadium if his future at Tottenham remains uncertain. The full-back joined the Foxes in October, before extending the loan deal in January until the end of the season. The 22-year-old told BBC Radio Leicester: "I've really enjoyed my time here and it's really helped me. That's the reason I'd look at it again. "I'd definitely look at coming back here again." Naughton, who began his career at Sheffield United before joining Spurs in July 2009, is preparing to face East Midlands neighbours Nottingham Forest in Friday's derby clash, before rejoining his parent club at the end of the season. He has scored five goals in his spell at the club, and was named in the Professional Footballers' Association team of the year for the Championship. Good news.
blueblood88 Posted 21 April 2011 Posted 21 April 2011 Very good news! Wasn't expecting that tbh! We've got to make him our priority for summer signings
Salieri Posted 21 April 2011 Posted 21 April 2011 I actually love Naughton, would be fantastic to have him back next year, hopefully permanently.

Call me a cynic, which I am but he's hardly going to say anything different is he and the - the reason I'd look at it again. "I'd definitely look at coming back here again. - is hardly a commitment. I bet if Warnock makes a definite bid he'll be saying how he couldn't turn them down and he's looking forward to working with Warnock again. Words are cheap but I don't blame the guy and I think questions about their future puts players in a difficult position.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 21 April 2011 Posted 21 April 2011 He's not really said anything, there.
Corky Posted 21 April 2011 Posted 21 April 2011 I'd love him to stay but he's a Premier League quality player and will probably be there next season.
lcfc_jme Posted 21 April 2011 Posted 21 April 2011 I agree with DavieG and MTWG. Like a politician, he's making all the right sounds without actually committing to anything. Would absolutely love him to stay on a permanent, but I reckon the lure of Prem football would be - quite rightly - too much to turn down for such a talented player.
Legend_in_blue Posted 21 April 2011 Posted 21 April 2011 He should be playing premiership football. No question. But with QPR? He's better off here for another season than go there for a season before being relegated the next. Any team making it out of the premiership this season will go down again next. All three.

Hmm i'm not so sure. QPR have money to spend and if they do it then they might stay up and make a stand. I wouldn't put it past the likes of Reading or Cardiff to last a couple of seasons. There's a lot of teams in the PL now that are not much of a better standard than the top championship clubs. I think it would be a good move for Naughton if QPR do build a side, however i'd love it if he stayed with us!

I take it by that you mean that the three promoted teams from the Championship will be relegated soon as? Laksmi Mittal is worth a fucking fortune, he's one of the richest men in the world, should he invest QPR will have a very enviable budget to play with. They won't go down if Mittal puts in.
yorkie1999 Posted 22 April 2011 Posted 22 April 2011 Says something on ssn about naughton willing to come back next season!
SMX11 Posted 22 April 2011 Posted 22 April 2011 There is an interview on Foxes player saying that he would consider a mover to Leicester and that he likes it up north. He also said "I get a bit pissed off if I don't have a Red Bull before a match"
Callabinho Posted 22 April 2011 Posted 22 April 2011 Id prefer him to play at Spurs tbh! but you never know he might like it here enough to stay??
Bugg Posted 22 April 2011 Posted 22 April 2011 Id prefer him to play at Spurs tbh! but you never know he might like it here enough to stay?? Why?
Adster Posted 22 April 2011 Posted 22 April 2011 Why? I think he meant playing at Spurs rather than QPR. But also I ask why as surely first team action at QPR is better than rotting in the reserves at Spurs.
Brown Fox Posted 22 April 2011 Posted 22 April 2011 I think he meant playing at Spurs rather than QPR. But also I ask why as surely first team action at QPR is better than rotting in the reserves at Spurs. I think he meant starting for Spurs would have been easier had he just explained his point!

I hope he does return, be it in loan or on a permanent. At least this suggests we're talking and Naughton's listening Also, at that Red Bull comment!
