cairnsy Posted 27 April 2011 Posted 27 April 2011 Disgraceful game of football all round, expect those tactics from real Madrid. Barcelona arent ever like this until el-Classico. Normally they play fairly but I guess you have to outwit the best to win and they did Also messi is absolute class.

Remember ranting about their ref-chasing obsession many a time, too. It's not 'outwitting' your opponent. It's fucking cheating.
cairnsy Posted 27 April 2011 Posted 27 April 2011 Tbf I haven't watched barca much this season. I watched them be4 pedro and Sergio but by the looks of them tonight they are both disgusting cheats Many people suggest that these tactics are called being skilled rather than cheaters. Typical spaniards

Typical spaniards Who? Many people, when they talk about the way Barcelona play, are referring to the intricate and quick football, especially in the attacking third of the pitch - not the 'cheating' aspect of it. They do have some petulant players, today as we saw Pedro and Busquets being an example. No one I know has ever said the petulant tactics as skilful.
Koke Posted 27 April 2011 Posted 27 April 2011 This the type of fanny I'd love to be taken out by a Scholes tackle. Im still gonna watch the 2nd leg next week and I hate myself for that. Both teams are complete bitches, but collectively Barca are worse. Madrid Casillas - seems like a nice bloke Marcello - whiner, ref complainer, diver Ramos - whiner, ref complainer, diver Arbeloa - dirty bastard, ref complainer Albio - dont know much about him Pepe - dirty bastard, ref complainer Diarra - seems like a nice bloke Alonso - nice bloke. I like him Di Maria - lol Ozil - Quiet guy. Though he dives sometimes Ronaldo - funnily enough he was one of the best behaved players tonight Barca Valdes - complete cunt, ref complainer, runs 50 yards to get involved in handbags Dani Alves - diver, cheat, ref complainer, card-waving cunt Pique - A total embarrassment Mascherano - *facepalm* Puyol - seems like a nice bloke Busuets - Despicable Keita - Nice lad Xavi - He seems alright, but he complains too much Pedro - No words to describe this idiot. Messi - Nice lad. Despite getting kicked all over the place he keeps his cool most of the time Villa - Like Ozil, he dives now & again. He's a quiet lad though, and doesnt get involved too much Pep - A true Gentleman Ibrahim Afellay seems like a nice enough guy. Though I give him 18 months till he can speak the Spanish language properly, then he'll get into the act as well.
Haydos Posted 27 April 2011 Posted 27 April 2011 Pretty much agree with you there. I hate Busquets more and more every time I see him play. I don't think I'd be exaggerating if I said I'd seen him go down grabbing his face when there was no contact EVERY time I've watched Barca in the last couple of seasons. Must be 6 or 7 games.
StanSP Posted 27 April 2011 Posted 27 April 2011 KAJ, post more cos like MTWG, I bloody love your sig and the stuff you say is correct nigh on most of the time . Agree with all the above to be honest. Busquets is by far the worst perpetrator out of both teams put together, but Sergio Ramos is a very close second.
Koke Posted 28 April 2011 Posted 28 April 2011 I've said it before, but DeSean Jackson is a hero, love your sig, haha. I'd love United to batter either side, and I'm normally not that keen on them, to be honest. Im a fan I also hope Man Utd win in the final. I actually think they are better equipped to face Barca than Madrid are.

He's quality, me being an Eagles fan makes me bum the guy off even more! Was famous for this in NCAA football, though. His show-boating can make him look a bit foolish at times.... Didn't even cross the line. What a guy. *And:
Finnegan Posted 28 April 2011 Posted 28 April 2011 There are some wankers in the Barcelona side, totally, Busquets and (I'm surprised he's not had more of a mention in this thread) Dani Alves are two of the most infuriating players in European football. But I have to say I am a little bit sympathetic towards them, as a collective, as well. Firstly you have to keep in mind that gamesmanship is just infinitely more commonplace in Spain as it is. I accept that that's not an excuse but to suggest that it's only Barcelona or that Barcelona are the worst at it is simply incorrect, it just doesn't carry the same stigma over there. But mostly because, at the end of the day, they have to tolerate being kicked, disrupted and man-handled constantly by teams who have simply run out of ways to stop them. When you're a team full of small, skillful superstars and you come up against Allardyce-esque bullying every time you take to the field because you're too good to stop? I can imagine it becoming seriously frustrating. When you can't even play the second best team in the world, with a weakened side, in their own back yard, without them resorting to thuggery and negativity? Heh. I know they'll never be absolved in the eyes of some of their critics on here (and the rose tinted glasses of some others isn't helping) but personally I just long-ago accepted it was part and parcel of watching Barca and a side effect of their brilliance. Agreed. Disappointing that Messi wasn't Abel to get one... Oof. <_<
Samilktray Posted 28 April 2011 Posted 28 April 2011 May aswell give Barcelona an Oscar for there dramatics on the pitch, they've got pretty much every other award out there.
Brown Fox Posted 28 April 2011 Posted 28 April 2011 Marcelo is worse than Alves. That laughing when Crouch got sent off was awful and all he does is dive and cheat. Though on a ****-o-meter Busquests would win by far.

Oof. <_< You're actually right thou. But notice how Messi, Villa etc. let their talent do more talking than their mouths. It's the lesser players who are making Barca look bad. For what its worth the Madrid players are just as bad. Marcello and Di Maria are just laughable. I accept diving, but feigning injury should not be tolerated in hindsight. If you dive to get a foul but dont get it, then stand up and continue the game. Dont roll around 50 times. I dont see what Barca see in Busquets. His continued existence is disgraceful to humanity and he isn't even that good a footballer, he's just a passable DM who's lucky he's played his entire life in the Barcelona system, and therefore fits in perfectly to their passing game. He'd be appalling anywhere else. Same with Pedro. He's an OK player, but turning into a massive cunt.
Ruthless Posted 28 April 2011 Posted 28 April 2011 Thats Mourinho out of a job in the summer, unless he can completely turn it around.
Koke Posted 28 April 2011 Posted 28 April 2011 And Pepe is a thug and a moron with a history of horrible tackles and assaulting players. Thats Mourinho out of a job in the summer, unless he can completely turn it around. I think I heard him say the other week that he will stay at Real Madrid for next season at the very least. Obviously it's not up to him to make such decisions.

No unless he wins the Champions League, he's gone, Florentino Perez has sacked every manager that has failed to win the Champions League, Fabio Capello won them the league for the first time in four years, he still got sacked purely because he failed to win the Champions League. He should be given more time, but it won't happen, unless he wins the Champions League, which looks very unlikely at this present time.
z-layrex Posted 28 April 2011 Posted 28 April 2011 Watched this in the Old Town square in Prague, absolutly heaving with Barcalona fans.
Tommeh Posted 28 April 2011 Posted 28 April 2011 Spanish football culture on the whole is utter shite. Actually hope Man United win this seasons European Cup.

Actually hope Man United win this seasons European Cup. This. I got no love for United, but I'll be backing them against Barca
Matt Posted 3 May 2011 Posted 3 May 2011 This is a much better and more exciting match than last week. Slightly cleaner but still some award winning dives going on. Real Madrid good going forward but just have nothing up front, Barca countering Messi and Villa causing big problems. Barca probably should be 3 up on the night, after 35 minutes. Barcelona 0 (2) - (0) 0 Real Madrid.
ScouseFox Posted 3 May 2011 Posted 3 May 2011 Casillas the only reason this isn't already another 5-0
Kenners Posted 3 May 2011 Posted 3 May 2011 Does anybody have a good stream? Sopcast seems to be dead...
ScouseFox Posted 3 May 2011 Posted 3 May 2011 Carvalho's hacked down Messi at least twice since he was booked, one more mistimed tackle and it'll be 10 men Madrid again.
