Right Back Atyeo Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 We should tell them to fvck off and look elsewhere. Hopefully Maynard then doesn't agree a new deal and could perhaps pick up him on the cheap in Jan however unlikely that might be. Please do! If Maynard doesn't sign a new deal it will be because he is waiting for a Premiership club.
dorsetfox Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 i think myself it might be a bit of a stand off the chairman dont want to accept a bid or else it will look like they are a selling club after his promises of millions and millions ,a 100,000 seater stadium and chapions league football lmao and maybe maynard does not want to hand in a request cuz he will look a judas just my opinion

Guest Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 ...or maybe he doesn't want to go to Leicester. Don't be silly. We're MASSIVE! ;-)
leicesterseddon Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 Please do! If Maynard doesn't sign a new deal it will be because he is waiting for a Premiership club. This is perhaps true. But he might be waiting for a long time. £5m+ is still a significant outlay for most of the clubs that would be interested in buying him, and at that price he's still a big risk for PL clubs given that he has no experience at that level.

Horibbly Wrong Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Transfer-news-Nicky-Maynard-of-Bristol-City-wanted-by-Leicester-s-Sven-Goran-Eriksson-article729382.html Sven Goran Eriksson is preparing a £3million bid for Bristol City striker Nicky Maynard. Leicester boss Eriksson has earmarked Maynard as a top target this summer and will test the Robins' resolve with a firm offer. Eriksson has been assured of major funds by the Foxes board and wants the 24-year-old to spearhead his charge for the Premier League next season. Maynard only returned for the Robins in February after a long-term knee injury but has already scored six goals this season. Is he here yet?
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 Quite frankly, I have got pissed off with the business, and we should just walk away, NOW.
Right Back Atyeo Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 Quite frankly, I have got pissed off with the business, and we should just walk away, NOW. There is no business... so yes you should.
John Matrix Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 Swap you kermo and howard for pitman and maynard.
Babylon Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 Has it occurred to you that we may accept less from a PL club? No, because only an idiot would do that.
Maybes Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 Has it occurred to you that we may accept less from a PL club? Can't see your club being foolish enough to accept a significantly lower bid.
Right Back Atyeo Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 Swap you kermo and howard for pitman and maynard. Errrrr... ...nah!
Lcfclee Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 Swap you kermo and howard for pitman and maynard. Are you mad kermo is the new Henry and howard is a future England international we couldn't give these two up we would never get promoted
thybluefox Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 How do we know we haven't given up this one? As far as I can see we're the only idiots talking about it.
Right Back Atyeo Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 No, because only an idiot would do that. Only an idiot would want him to play against us. Can't see your club being foolish enough to accept a significantly lower bid. Really? I don't think I'm alone amongst BCFC fans when I say i would rather we take, say, 4m off a PL club and let Nicky have his big chance, than 6m+ off you lot and have him playing against us for a sideways move.
Guest Bilo Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 If Bristol City accept a lower bid from a Premiership club, when most PL clubs would be able to pay more thanks to Murdoch's dirty money, then they are clearly run by people who have literally no idea of how to run a football club. There again, their chairman is a fan....

You might but you can bet your bottom dollar your chairman wont share the same view .
I am Rod Hull Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 Only an idiot would want him to play against us. Really? One Arm Babba Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 Has it occurred to you that we may accept less from a PL club? That's made my day. The billionaire businessmans master stroke. Karl Pilkington would have a better comment than that. Financial Advisor: Leicester have bid £4,000,000. it's a good offer, maybe we should sell? Steve lansdown: Narp. Oi want more for him than thaaaaaaa. Financial Advisor: what about this steve, we've had fax from QPR..... They're in the premier league now. Steve Lansdown: Are they, oi never knew thaaaaaaa. How much they offerin then? Financial Advisor: well it's a little less than Leicesters fine offer. Roughly £2,000,000. Steve Lansdown: Bloody hell, warra you hangin round err for? Oi'd snap their hand roight off for 2 million quid!!! Get that breotorey on the talk box thingy.

Do you honestly think BCFC to LCFC is a sideways move really honestly. And if so I'd love for you to back it up with facts!!

Sideways move?? Someone thinks a lot of themselves!! Haha
accessory Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 Can't see your club being foolish enough to accept a significantly lower bid. But Peterborough did last week with CMS..
leicesterseddon Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 Has it occurred to you that we may accept less from a PL club? Not really. To be honest, if you really think you're going to be competing at the top end of the league this year, you need to get your head screwed on.
Guest Bilo Posted 11 July 2011 Posted 11 July 2011 All this 'sideways move' talk seems to be because Bristol City and ourselves are in the same division. Which is a bit like arguing Kevin Doyle would never be interested in a move from Wolves to Arsenal cos Wolves are a Premiership club anyway. Sideways move. My days.
