I get some inside info not much mind but I have information on the Maynard transfer. Bristol City don't want to sell, but they are fighting a lost cause, Sven will push to £5 million plus possible add ons if still rejected he will move elsewhere. Back in for Yakubu for 4 million or target a completely different striker with the Ebanks-Blake rumours possibly true.

An entertaining youngster with the potential to score and make goals as a winger or central striker gets virtually given away by City after being all-but permanently snubbed for a season and a half and people seriously expect he'll come back here now that another club's turned him into £5m worth of footballer by doing no more than letting him play! Maybe Sven could persuade him that he's got a somewhat different attitude to playing football than Pearson ever had but I really don't see it happening. There's not a single winger in the last decade who's done any good at Leicester and nothing I've seen from Sven suggests that'll change. Do we even have an attacking coach yet?

Liamlcfc1 Posted 24 July 2011 Posted 24 July 2011 Just seen this on the bristol forum As I said before, I think NM is holding out for a PL club to come in for him at the last minute, they have only just started pre-season, they won't sort their squads for another couple of weeks.The trouble is that the clubs where he might have been likely to go......Norwich, Swansea, QPR et al have all but sorted their strike force for next season. If no PL clubs bid for him, I think he will do a 'Bothroyd' and run his contract down or reassess in January. I hope Keef is planning ahead (just in case) and talking to PL clubs about getting a quick striker on loan for the season. After todays comments I am slightly disappointed with NM but I will be VERY angry if he goes to the scruffy foxes as they are playing the same standard of football as us next season. BCAGFC

Do we even have an attacking coach yet? well,, some newspapers have said he is rated at 5m and i know you love him and he's a good player... but i dont think he will be sold for 5m....

Not saying Gradel would come back, should come back or that I'd want him back. But one manager does not a club make. This club was very good to Gradel throughout his family troubles and he was much loved by it's fans. If we went to Leeds and his agent with enough money there's no way he wouldn't come back to play for Sven purely because of any disagreement with Pearson.
