Babylon Posted 25 July 2011 Posted 25 July 2011 This is a speculation forum.. It has been speculated that SOMETHING will happen this week! If you don't like the responses don't read the thread... No-one is forcing you to. Speculating is one thing, pretending to know something you don't is another. I don't know Liam, I don't know if he actually has contacts. All I know is he hasn't posted anything I didn't already know.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 25 July 2011 Posted 25 July 2011 Maynard can bloody well Bog Off. He is a gutless, over rated, bag of manure. If he really wanted a move, he would have moved his lips and said so by now. Obviously just not interested in wanting to play Premiership football.

He is more than interested in playing Premiership football, that's why he's waiting for a Premiership club to come in for him. You are in the championship and there's the small matter of 46 games to go this season with some big clubs quietly going about their business and building some decent squads. I wouldn't count 'em yet. A deadline has now been set of this weekend by the chairman, it will be settled one way or another then as both clubs have to move on and get their players in for the season. We've had a couple of very recent hints that Maynard is staying with BCFC, but that may be just him and Millen saying off the record what fans wanted to hear. We'll all know by the end of next weekend at the latest anyway. Jeez, with all the fuss you'd think we were talking about Messi...

thybluefox Posted 25 July 2011 Posted 25 July 2011 I'd be incredibly surprised if we didn't have someone by the Real game. Oh, just to avoid angering the trolls, this is my OPINION.

FoxyPalace.com Posted 25 July 2011 Posted 25 July 2011 From the Bristol Pasty munchers forum Love the scruffy foxes part, we must of really Pi$$ed them off! No way will Leicester pay anywhere near 7m for NM, they could get a decent PL standard player for that. Plus, NM doesn't want to go to the scruffy foxes anyway. Another thing, add ons are no use to us at the moment, they may not even come to fruition EVER!!!........especially with their dodgy Thai owners. BCAGFC
Guest Posted 25 July 2011 Posted 25 July 2011 I'll let you know if your opinion bothers me at any juncture. And while your having your handbag twirling moment (Sorry no emoticon available) you should notice that my reply to the post quoted was edited. You should also note that I had stopped giving out grief on this particular subject and that what little I did give was good humoured and in my assessment totally warranted. Lastly you should now note that your comments are only exacerbating this topic further. I'll give you a plus one for trying though, well done. Glad to see that my opinion didn't bother you Nick.
Spudulike Posted 25 July 2011 Posted 25 July 2011 I guess Sven has properly had some encouragement in signing Maynard via his agent thats why we have been sniffing around for so long. Blimey, rewind back about 15,000 pages and you'll see that Sven was asked by the Swedish media about Maynard and he confirmed that HE DOES WANT TO SIGN FOR US. The source was posted several times but I can't be arsed to track it down now. Edit: But he wants to us.
LestaFox92 Posted 25 July 2011 Posted 25 July 2011 or just offer more money Or a nail bomb wrapped in more money?
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 25 July 2011 Posted 25 July 2011 Come on Nicky Maynard, come to Leicester, we even have cars round here not just tractors

I think there was a swedish BCFC fan that asked sven about NM on the sweden tour... and sven said the same thing that NM wanted to come to LCFC. So we will see...
bcfc1897 Posted 25 July 2011 Posted 25 July 2011 After listening to your lot, I thought he was!!! Half of 'em wouldn't be able to tell the difference mate.
escos Posted 25 July 2011 Posted 25 July 2011 So can i take it we have not signed him yet ???? Nearly! We've just got to agree a fee with Bristol, agree personal terms with him and then he needs to pass a medical, but apart from that it's very close!

cambridgefox Posted 25 July 2011 Posted 25 July 2011 im starting to think for the amount of money we are talking about ,and willing to pay ,we COULD now get someone better. Things are obviously happening behind the scenes, but its so frustrating not being in the loop.(like on here to be honest)

HesNotGudjonsonn2 Posted 25 July 2011 Posted 25 July 2011 Why do we bother chatting about this as we know he is gonna be ours soon and he is worth it, he really is.
Happy Fox Posted 25 July 2011 Author Posted 25 July 2011 http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/transfer-news/Leicester-ready-make-fourth-final-offer-buy-Bristol-City-Nicky-Maynard-for-4million-plus-Martyn-Waghorn-article776172.html Sven to table fourth and final Maynard offer Published 22:59 25/07/11 By Football Spy Recommend Sven Goran Eriksson is ready to make a last-ditch attempt to sign Nicky Maynard by offering £4million plus striker Martyn Waghorn. Eriksson will table a fourth and final offer for Bristol City striker Maynard this week and bid to take his summer signings to nine. Leicester are prepared to offer striker Waghorn – who is rated at around £1.5m – as part of the package as they bid to persuade the Robins to do business. Former Sunderland man Waghorn is also wanted by Derby and Ipswich, but Eriksson will allow the 21-year-old to leave the King Power Stadium. Maynard, 24, has one year left on his contract at Ashton Gate and negotiations over a new deal have stalled. Eriksson wants to tie up a deal for his No. 1 summer target before Saturday’s glamour friendly with Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid. “I am almost certain that there will be a couple more players coming in," he said. “We want to try to make the squad as strong as possible and we would like to have two players in every position, to have 20 outfield players who are all strong so we can change over now and again, because I think it is necessary. “We have 46 games, which is a lot. We have a squad that is strong and we will be strong all the way to the end of the season, which you need in this league.”
Clazie Posted 25 July 2011 Posted 25 July 2011 Why do we bother chatting about this as we know he is gonna be ours soon and he is worth it, he really is. that's a bold statement from someone who knows nothing.
