Hack Posted 11 August 2011 Posted 11 August 2011 But it's the goals that matter, yes? Scored 11 in 20, he could so easily get 25 in one season! Yakubu is now part of the striker rotation at Everton. With the lack of funds over there, Saha and the Yak will probably lead the line, so we need to stop thinking that he is a possible target for us. He is now going to be regular starter for PL team and would not come down to the CCC.

Not sure who else would be on Svennis's list, but thankfully it's a long one, as none of the names on it have come to somnething yet!

He said at the end of the seaosn how he's ike to move to LCFC on a permenant deal. Oh how quickly they change their minds when there's still a carrot hanging over Premier League football.

Oh how quickly they change their minds when there's still a carrot hanging over Premier League football. well you cant blame him. He went from being on the outer with Moyes and with no future there, to sorting out his issues with Moyes and now becoming an important memeber of the 1st team. Things change and sometimes very quickly. Which is why I am not too worried about our current pursuit of a striker. I would much ratherhave Sven get the right one when he can rather than get anyone now for the sake of it. For the next week or 2 I am sure the current group can carry the line. We may all be very happy and surprised towards the end of the window or even after (on loan) for the player Sven does bring in.
Happy Fox Posted 11 August 2011 Author Posted 11 August 2011 When do the 25 man squad from the prem get finalised is it this week or next week?
thybluefox Posted 11 August 2011 Posted 11 August 2011 How is thread still open? Its not going to happen!
sphericalfox Posted 11 August 2011 Posted 11 August 2011 When do the 25 man squad from the prem get finalised is it this week or next week? Surely the registration has to occur before they play their first match, thus Friday should be the deadline? Therefore any players not in the registered team would on Sven's radar. I am answering the question not knowing officially what the answer is, and on a Yak thread, but this particular thread is defunct. The Yak will be playing for the Toffees this season.

Isn't it 31st August? Otherwise any players bought between now and the transfer deadline couldn't be included in their 25-man squad.

It's not a final registration, of course you can add people during the transfer window, but I speculate that you can't start a season without a registered team, therefore those who are out in the cold will know and thus be available next week. I'm more than happy to be told I'm wrong btw.

Yh we should forget CMS and long beacuse they have signed for other clubs but there is no need to move on from maynard ( who I reckon will be In blue at the end of the Market), miller (Sven likes him as a player ) and Jong (Bochum fans reckon if we offer £500,000 more tht they would not be able to reject since he is in his last year of his contract) !!
blueredswed Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 I´m kean on both Why don´t get both Kean and the YAK in that case we should have goalscoring team :scarf: :chant:
Happy Fox Posted 12 August 2011 Author Posted 12 August 2011 I´m kean on both Why don´t get both Kean and the YAK in that case we should have goalscoring team :scarf: :chant: Mate the Yak is staying at Everton he is part of their first team picture

Libertine Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Sad to hear! But congratulation to Yak And thanks for lasy season! I love it.
Adster Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Even looking at all this, I still don't think we're quite done yet with our friend the Yak.
Bugg Posted 12 August 2011 Posted 12 August 2011 Mate the Yak is staying at Everton he is part of their first team picture Pretty sure he's been left out of all but one pre-season game. Just cause he's in the first team picture doesn't mean anything.
Petchy Posted 13 August 2011 Posted 13 August 2011 Fook it. Get him in pronto, he needs feeding and we need the extra firepower!
Bettsy82 Posted 13 August 2011 Posted 13 August 2011 For gods sake sven sign him up !!!! He's cheap compared to other players we've bid for !!!!!
paddy Agyemang Posted 13 August 2011 Posted 13 August 2011 always said this about the yak, he is quality but fair enough he is lazy but i dont care as he scores the goals
muzzy1981 Posted 13 August 2011 Posted 13 August 2011 We are a different squad now that will provide lots more chances, that hr will take
Fox92 Posted 13 August 2011 Posted 13 August 2011 For gods sake sven sign him up !!!! He's cheap compared to other players we've bid for !!!!! Agreed. He has more quality than who we have been linked with, he is cheaper as well and he will score the goals.
cc_star Posted 13 August 2011 Posted 13 August 2011 We're unwilling to meet his Premier League sized wage packet, he's back in the Everton squad and if he was to come available I'm pretty sure all the PL clubs like QPR etc would be willing to meet his demands Yes he doesn't contribute to the team effort, but we've got a far more combative team than last season so one player 'not pulling his weight' on the tackling front is irrelevant if he's scoring 1 in 2 Would love him to come, but the feeling from Everton is that he's slotted back in
