Raw Dykes Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ryo_Miyaichi Watched him during pre-season, impressed hugely, we have Japanese links with Yuki as well..... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/gossip_and_transfers/9550869.stm From today's Daily Mail: "Arsenal's teenage winger Ryo Miyaichi could return to Feyenoord on loan despite impressing in pre-season. The Japan Under-19 international is awaiting a work permit from the Home Office."

Samilktray Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 From the bits I've seen of him David Goodwillie looks like he could be a decent signing for 2 million.
NeilyBoy Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 Clicky 08/09 - 6 goals 09/10 - 13 goals 10/11 - 18 goals 22yrs old and steadily improving year on year? Get on it Sven.

NeilyBoy Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 Dunno about you lot but I'd like the Yak back... what's happened on that front? Has Sven moved his focus elsewhere for good?
whitwickfox Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 Samaras has been mentioned on here some where, i checked him out on you tube, good finisher and pacey. not saying he would be the finished article we are looking for, but hey. we have as much chance of getting maynard as coventry avoiding relegation

The Doctor Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 Sven shall work his magic.... be no good if the boy can't get a work permit from the home office.
squibly786 Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 Hey guys, first time poster here. Really looking forward to the upcoming season, don't really remember a preseason where I've been this optimistic. It is pretty obvious that everyone agrees that we need a striker to fire the goals in to gain us promotion, and I'd been thinking about this with a mate over lunch today. I would have loved to have seen someone like David Goodwillie here, a young exciting player who can produce things out of the ordinary. But it looks as Blackburn have snapped him up. Realistically, I'd like to see James McFadden here - class and would score goals, though not the pacey centre forward Sven obviously wants.
foxes2011 Posted 29 July 2011 Posted 29 July 2011 When i saw John Careew is a free agent i thought he could be a good striking option and seeing as howard might leave he is a similar sort of player, big target man

Tomassi Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 Could the 8.5m player we have rumoured to have a bid accepted be Shaun Wright-Phillips???
Clazie Posted 30 July 2011 Posted 30 July 2011 Could the 8.5m player we have rumoured to have a bid accepted be Shaun Wright-Phillips??? God I hope not.
sdb Posted 31 July 2011 Posted 31 July 2011 Ibrahima Drame (no i'd never heard of him either): http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14354462.stm
Jimmy Posted 31 July 2011 Posted 31 July 2011 I still think we'll get Yak on deadline day after no prem teams make a bid for him
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 31 July 2011 Posted 31 July 2011 Ibrahima Drame (no i'd never heard of him either): http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/14354462.stm That Aspire academy is advertised by Pele, always on EuroSport during the African Cup of Nations. Had no idea whether or not they were any good or if it was just some money throwing Qatari project. Clearly must be one or two decent prospects in there!
vandamman Posted 31 July 2011 Posted 31 July 2011 Nabil El Zhar anybody? Seems to have been at pool forever and got nowhere, could be worth a punt always quite tricky when i've seen him. Also, stumbled upon his wiki page and saw this gem 'is a French-born Moroccan footballer and currently plays for Liverpool. He also has eight caps for Morocco. El Zhar is known for being completely useless at football and should of quit while he was ahead[1]'
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 31 July 2011 Posted 31 July 2011 Seems to have been at pool forever and got nowhere There's a reason for that. No good.
