Play-off Final Tickets

Ok, so my "local" team Reading have progressed to the final...

What I can't believe (but shouldn't surprise me) is the pricing for a play-off final...the bulk of the 39k tickets are £50-62...this seems excessive does it not?

• Prices have been set by the Football League as follows:

Category 5, 4,902 tickets:

£36 adults, £18 concessions

Category 4, 10,330 tickets:

£52 adults, £26 concessions

Category 3, 12,908 tickets:

£64 adults, £32 concessions

Category 2, 9,277 tickets, 3,691 of which are located in Club Wembley:

£76 adults, £38 concessions

Category 1, 1,585 tickets, all of which available for sale are located in Club Wembley and initially only available to our commercial partners:

£98 adults, £49 concessions

Let's hope we go up automatically!!

That does seem very excessive...

I went to the Blackpool v Cardiff final last season for the day out with my Pool supporting m8's...I must say we all had a cracking day made better by the great game and win but i'm sure i only paid £28 for my ticket. I had a great view too, I've some pics somewhere, if I find them I'll post them in here.

If you go make sure you get yourself to the Green Man pub, it was bouncing.

Nearly 100 quid for the best seats ie. literally the only seats that arent up in the heavens. Seems an absolute disgrace tbh. Once again just boils down to who has the most money to spend. <_<

Here's a video i took, which shows the view i had...

Pics from the Green Man...Get there early and take the place over..5/10min walk from ground, there's a tesco down the hill, so buy your tinns from there and take them up with you...cheaper and no waiting to get served.

Wasn't it £36 for our last game against Ipswich when there was nothing to play for?

Yup, it was indeed. :S

The New Wembley is for me the best new purpose built football stadium in the World.

I've been in the Nou Camp, the San Siro etc and nothing comes close, it fantastic.

It also cost a pigging fortune through miss-management and that is reflected to a degree in ticket prices.

Having sat in 5 different places now I don't honestly think there is a shit seat in the place, and lets face it, the fans would pay even more than that if asked as it's such a big game.

Was going to to say that she's giving you the look, if there was ever an excuse for random hugging during celebration it was then!

****ing hate Blackpool!!

Also hate how Sky and radio pundits alike have lauded over what they're fans have brought to the Premier League! They've brought absolutely nothing apart from horrifically bright shirts which look colourful when they half fill an end stand. They're not that vocal compared to other teams and hopefully we'll never see them again.

Yep, also bought two under 18's at £18 each, couple of pies and programme, not mich change from £100!

My mates just got his champions league final ticket, £154!

Prices are only like that because the FA ****ed up the costing of Wembley when it was being built. Fans have to foot the bill!

That guy in front of you to the left, was his hair genuinely orange or is that the reflection of all the orange around him!?

Well expensive. I just got tickets for the Under-21's European Championship final for 35 DKK (4 quid)

WOW! That's amazing. You pay like at least £5 to watch bloody Coalville play at home!

I suggest no-one looks at the Conference Play-Off Final Prices.

Surprise me..?

The play-off prices have nothing to do with the FA. The Football League set the prices. It might be cos Wembley set a high rent but I doubt it.

It's also worth doing research on the Wembley Stadium construction, there's no doubt it was bad planning but some costs were down to stuff you couldn't really found out until excavation was done.

The stadium construction firm, Multiplex did well not go under. That's an achieivement on such a delayed job, most companies would have gone under and ran off the cash they already had.

Surprise me..?

£36 plus a fiver in booking fees (which must be paid as the clubs aren't holding the tickets). Next stage is £41 plus a fiver.

Obscene for the level of football. Still expected to be 20,000 there.

Doesn't surprise me really, Coalville Town v Whitley Bay in the FA Vase Trophy final was £25 + £1 booking fee, and I mean c'mon!! That is the drabbest level of football possible!

20,000 would be poor considering there were 43,000 at Wembley for the York-Oxford game last year.
