Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 14 June 2011 Posted 14 June 2011 Forget El Hadary, think we should sign this guy up. Would come for free (pretty much) and his wages wouldnt be high at all. Some of these clips are filmed at night, is that cus it took all day to get it in the can?
Filthy Fox Posted 14 June 2011 Posted 14 June 2011 Some of these clips are filmed at night, is that cus it took all day to get it in the can? he just can't get it into that net can he, crossbar every time, poor lad...
SMX11 Posted 14 June 2011 Posted 14 June 2011 If he does sign we need to get rid of Weale just to stop the ****** from chanting for him even though he is an inferior keeper.
ithuriel Posted 14 June 2011 Posted 14 June 2011 If he signs and is good enough Weale will remain on the bench and no one will chant his name, if however he is no better than Weale then we will have a repeat of the Ricardo/Weale situation and Sven will have failed in improving the goal keeping position.

Explain that to me again.......
Babylon Posted 14 June 2011 Posted 14 June 2011 self explanatory It would be had Ricardo actually done anything wrong.
kylestyle06 Posted 14 June 2011 Posted 14 June 2011 I always used to cringe when people shouted "Weeeealeeee" from L1.. I honestly did feel sorry for the guy, and could tell he was absolutely gutted when he made some mistakes. He wanted to prove to the fans he wanted to be here, but wasn't really given a chance, albeit his own errors sometimes. But when you have a few hundered people shouting "Weale", I would suspect it made him shakey, which would cause error. I really think he would of done a job here, and it was a shame he was told to leave/not wanted to play for us. Let's hope the new keeper is unstopable, or there will be some very fickle fans around the walkers.
ithuriel Posted 14 June 2011 Posted 14 June 2011 It would be had Ricardo actually done anything wrong. No, it would if he had been better, he was'nt and he is no longer here. If the next keeper is better, Weale will be benched and then gone, if not then we will have musical chairs with the goalkeepers again.
RyanB89 Posted 14 June 2011 Posted 14 June 2011 Its actually unbeleiveable that people would rather weale than ricardo..... beyond me.
acooling08 Posted 14 June 2011 Posted 14 June 2011 Oh please no, would be our worst signing since Ricardo.
The Doctor Posted 14 June 2011 Posted 14 June 2011 No, it would if he had been better, he was'nt and he is no longer here. If the next keeper is better, Weale will be benched and then gone, if not then we will have musical chairs with the goalkeepers again. Forest away says ricardo was a hell of a lot better than weale and was unfairly forced out by fans who were still stuck in the past with either: a) Ricardo was in goal for portugal for the two penalty shoot-outs v england in '04 & '06 or b) Weale was the keeper under pearson.
funkyrobot Posted 14 June 2011 Posted 14 June 2011 The only thing that forced Ricardo out was Sven's realisation that the guy was past it. A manager of sven's experience would not remove a player based on booing from sections of a crowd. He makes his own decisions.

A manager of sven's experience would not remove a player based on booing from sections of a crowd. He makes his own decisions. As has been said many times before, it's unlikely Ricardo wanted to continue for a team where he was constantly jeered at by a crowd favouring an inferior (in my opinion) keeper. You have no evidence to suggest Sven 'forced him out'.
hackneyfox Posted 14 June 2011 Posted 14 June 2011 Or perhaps the booing destroyed Ricardo's confidence? Either way Sven has made it plain that he doesn't rate Weale. Thank****forthat. I hope we sign 2 goalies and sell Weale
lestajigs Posted 14 June 2011 Posted 14 June 2011 Or perhaps the booing destroyed Ricardo's confidence? Either way Sven has made it plain that he doesn't rate Weale. Thank****forthat. You hate weale don't ya??? Come on admit it I hope we sign 2 goalies and sell Weale
Corky Posted 14 June 2011 Posted 14 June 2011 Ricardo was terrible. Thankfully Weale didn't do anything wrong when he came back into the team.
gazfox9 Posted 14 June 2011 Posted 14 June 2011 Surely if we sign this guy, he's only gonna be a number two to Westwood/Given or whoever else we may sign. Seriously don't think Sven see's him as the answer to our goalkeeping crisis???
hackneyfox Posted 14 June 2011 Posted 14 June 2011 I'm not a facebook fan so I don't do 'hate' but I certainly don't rate him and haven't for the last 1.5 seasons.
hackneyfox Posted 14 June 2011 Posted 14 June 2011 Ricardo was terrible. Thankfully Weale didn't do anything wrong when he came back into the team. That is going to go over a lot of heads.
sphericalfox Posted 14 June 2011 Posted 14 June 2011 Surely if we sign this guy, he's only gonna be a number two to Westwood/Given or whoever else we may sign. Seriously don't think Sven see's him as the answer to our goalkeeping crisis??? This is precisely the case. All the other teams interested would be doing EXACTLY the same. A quality backup.
hackneyfox Posted 14 June 2011 Posted 14 June 2011 So gaz and spherical, do you think Weale will be sold then? Does that mean that you will also be accused of 'hating' him?
gazfox9 Posted 14 June 2011 Posted 14 June 2011 Hackney, yeah I can see Weale being 'surplus to requiements'. Maybe wrong but I'd guess he's burnt his bridges with Sven. I'm not a hater, I wasn't of Ricardo either. I do believe a new keeper is our number one priority though.
