After our ejection in Feb we wanted to organise a mass stand up and also distibute flyers telling fans what was happening and why but we could not get enough people onborard. So in fact he is already winning his war on fans. What happened?

So in fact he is already winning his war on fans. with the best will in the world, i would think the reason you didn't get enough people on board is because not enough people knew about what had happened, I think you probably needed to advertise it on the forums, here, BR & TB. Obviously that does have the problem of barclay finding out about your plans given the jobsworth almost certainly watches the forums but a carefully worded statement saying what had happened and possibly requesting people PM you if they want to help would have got you a lot of support from the fan base and kept the overall plan fairly secret and stop ykw finding out the details.

To cut a long story very short,thown out for persistant standing after 25 minutes of the Barnsley game,even though cctv footage shows me sitting for 20 of those minutes. My son was given permission by a steward to meet me outside so i could give him some money and at half time he was forcefully ejected and so was a friend who tried to intervene. This was wittnessed by one of my sons teachers who contacted the club and to this day he has still had no reply. I have been told by a steward who is a friend and works in a different area of the ground that he had got it in for me and my son for a while but he had no idea why. When i collected our tickets following the ban i was told that if i was seen standing again he would push for a season ban and then a life ban so watch yourselves because once he starts he does not stop untill he gets his way.

I requested the cctv footage but was told by Lee Hoos that after he had viewed it it was destroyed,which i think is shocking enough on its own. I also contacted FSF and they were brilliant but without the cctv both my son and i were well and truly screwed. We even had people coming forward and writing to the club following my sons ejection,because he was assaulted by a steward ,but they would not have any of it and that was all down to Mr Barcley and Mr Hoos. My mate that was also thrown out asked about CRB checks and being allowed to be with under 16's unsupervised.That was also dismissed by the two above mentioned clowns.

It was requested after a couple of days but it took the club about two weeks to get back to me which again is unacceptable.They know that they can fight and win against one or two individuals because at the end of the day we are football fans,the lowest of the low in they're eyes and we count for nothing.

Barclay has no chance of taking down L1 - he's a coward, orders his orange coated army around to sanitise those supporters who don't sit down and clap but stays hidden, safe in his little control tower. He can deal with the small groups of 2 or 3 people standing but when it comes to something on the same scale and as organised as L1, he's got no chance. He'll fall flat on his arse, piss off more and more fans and eventually be out on his arse.

As the man who is effectively in charge of club-fan relations on the most important day of a football club's operations (I.e. Matchday) it wouldn't have hurt to do a little research into what the feedback was from the fans, effectively the business' 'customers'. It wouldn't have taken too long and much in the way of extensive research for them to discover that Barclay and the manner in which he conducts his business is among the chief causes of complaints to the club, and that far more fans would be far happier to see him handed his P45 than a promotion. A serious faux pas if it affords such an arrogant, authoritarian individual yet more powers to wantonly abuse.

MPH Posted 16 June 2011 Posted 16 June 2011 You can bet your bottom dollar that Kevin Barclay will not go to the club owners and tell them ' well its like this... there are a group of fans unhappy with my appointment. i have been a right Div and misinterpreted the rules' In other words, FosseBoys... people of L1... i would strongly suggest you get as many people as possible to write to the club and tell them how unhappy you are with this. Write letters directly to one of the Thais. This will at least get to his PA or Secretary... will bypass Barclay and his cronies completely. Don't email as it wont go anywhere...

James. Posted 16 June 2011 Posted 16 June 2011 Petition? You'd do well to get 5% of an average gate to sign it and I think you'll need a lot more than that to get anyone to give a shit. I think some people overestimate how many fans actually care enough to do something about it.
