purpleronnie Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 Great game, glad Djokovic is through, just need nadal and murray to win for a perfect tennis day!
ajthefox Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 disappointed Federer lost, but you can't not be a little pleased for Tsonga.
Wycombe Fox Posted 30 June 2011 Posted 30 June 2011 What sort of a noise is that from Azarenka. It's like a grunt/shout with a drawn-out shiver on the end. Annoying.
Manwell Pablo Posted 1 July 2011 Posted 1 July 2011 Jo Wilfred is up to his old tricks again Which is good I need him to buy enough time to get home to watch the Murray Nadal match.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 1 July 2011 Posted 1 July 2011 Hope Tsonga wins this. Played amazingly against Federer, Great play in the tie-breaker a minute ago.
AoWW Posted 1 July 2011 Posted 1 July 2011 Really not that interested in tennis, but might just have to watch Nadal.
leicesterisme Posted 1 July 2011 Posted 1 July 2011 Great start for Murray, it was crucial he won the 1st set otherwise I think Nadal would of ran away with it but now he's in with a real chance.
leicesterisme Posted 1 July 2011 Posted 1 July 2011 Nadals not even played to the best he can, Murrays just making stupid errors, the first set he played brilliantly, now he's completely dropped that level. This could be over very soon.
leicesterisme Posted 1 July 2011 Posted 1 July 2011 Murray is simply not in the same league as Nadal. Have to agree, he's so frustrating to watch although he isn't as good as Nadal if he had took his chances he may well have been 2 sets to 1 up by now but he hasn't and now Nadal has took full control.

Yep. There was one point when he was a set up, think it would've put him 0-40 on Nadal's serve, but he missed a simple forehand and you could tell he was feeling the pressure. Since then, he's won about 3 games and made a host of unforced errors. Not a massive Murray fan anyway, s'all about Novak.
accessory Posted 1 July 2011 Posted 1 July 2011 Murray doesn't have the mental strength to win Wimbledon - or any of the other grand slam events.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 1 July 2011 Posted 1 July 2011 Andy Murray is BRITISH! Until he looses, then hes Scottish.
Jimothy Posted 1 July 2011 Posted 1 July 2011 39 unforced error is why Murray lost that match. And he wouldn't be 4th in the world rankings if he usually made 39 unforced errors in a match. Call him a choker or whatever, but that was the difference between the two today. Murray matched Nadal in most of the points, until he threw them away. He certainly has the talent to win a Slam, just not sure he has the mentality.
purpleronnie Posted 1 July 2011 Posted 1 July 2011 Andy Murray is BRITISH! Until he looses, then hes Scottish. MYTH.
FoxyPV Posted 1 July 2011 Posted 1 July 2011 It seems to be a mental thing. Murray held his nerve to win the first set on tie break then seemed to completely go to pieces (see unforced error count) plus Nadal stepping it up a gear or two from then on.
Salieri Posted 1 July 2011 Posted 1 July 2011 Murray has the game but neither the bottle nor consistency. Hope Rafa wins on Sunday.
Alexikokopops Posted 1 July 2011 Posted 1 July 2011 Andy Murray is BRITISH! Until he looses, then hes Scottish. It wasn't funny three years ago. The fact that it's trudged up every time Murray even so much as looks at a tennis racket is (and I didn't think this was possible) making it even less funny. It's also complete bollocks. You're not the first person to say it, and you won't be the last. This isn't personal. It's just after three years of hearing it I've grown weary.
Marmite Posted 2 July 2011 Posted 2 July 2011 I'm glad he lost, he is Scottish, we would of never of heard the last from the scots had he had won
