I would be surprised that Wenger would loan Lansbury out to a CCC club again, but you never know. I don't think he's likely to want to sell a highly regarded under 21, especially if at some stage Arsenal's midfield becomes light.

FoxTrott Posted 20 June 2011 Posted 20 June 2011 Doesn't matter that a scout saw him. Arsene will never let him go unless he knows he isn't going to be any good. As for a loan, I'd say unlikely. He's getting to Arsenal first team age now, they'll want him at least to give first team players rest against smaller teams, probably some first team Premiership experience too.
sdb Posted 20 June 2011 Posted 20 June 2011 Likely to be in the Prem next year i'd have thought. Not sure why we'd need scouts out there for him especially, plus he had a fairly poor tournament, so a bit weird that now we're suddenly interested. Would be a v handy acquisition though.

The deal was almost done and then Hoos wouldn't pay the money for him, that was while we had Sousa at the healm. We messed him around so he may decide not to consider us if he has other options.

If he isn't up to standard, he'll go to Norwich for some first team Premiership experience. I really don't think we've got a look in. He wouldn't take a downwards step at his stage of career, would just be silly.
