gerrytaggart Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 Burnleys cup final....I hope we are up for it.
davieG Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 As you would expect, what pearson said about Burnley back in September really struck a nerve. NP should not have said that, it was extremely unprofessional. However, he was on the money. We are a bigger club by far and we are a better team with better fans. Our ground is far superior to theirs and our training ground is probably leagues above theirs. That said, NP hasn't done us any favours. They will throw everything at us to beat us today and the confidence or lack of won't be an issue, their players, staff and fans will all be together in their quest to send NP home with egg on his face. I just hope our superior quality shines through. That would've been the case anyway, do you think they would be trying any less if he hadn't have said what he did?
Richard Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 (edited) There's an article with Wes Morgan in the Times by the very good Rory Smith but it's behind the paywall! Edited 25 April 2015 by Richard
Haydos Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 Stuff like this Quite a laid back funny guy in his interviews and press conferences. Gets a team working hard and achieves decent results. Likeable enough bloke if you seperate yourself from the default Leicester standpoint of he's a dick ( © Scouseh ;p ) Look at the interview on the previous page. First thing out of his whining mouth is how much we've invested. He's so dull.
ScouseFox Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 absolutely perfect result today, vardy scoring a winner that they all don't think was deserved after they missed a penalty so have nothing to blame but themselves. sensational. so happy. off to the burnley forum for my bedtime reading later i think oh man sean dyche hahaha

Jaspa Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 Their penalty came from crafty play. Konch switched off and Taylor nipped in, took the touch and hit the grass. Always though of Burnley of a decent bunch but this is pathetic
Hollism Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 "cheating" http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=104&fid=297&sty=2&act=1&mid=2110074730#2uMFXKBRtFL8eXm9.97 Yet when one of their lads went down injured, and Kasper chucked the ball out of play, the player taking the throw in for them (forget who it was) wasn't going to give it back to Kasper. Only did so after pressure from our fans.

Then you have one of our fans going on their and making a tit of himself. Good and bad on all sides, as you would expect, and as it has always been. You only have to spend a match on here to see that we have some utterly classless idiots for fans as well, so berating other teams for having a few of theirs is a bit rich in my humble opinion!

Tbf they have another thread about us being the better side and even a couple of back-handed compliments for Pearson
Babylon Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 Tbf they have another thread about us being the better side and even a couple of back-handed compliments for PearsonWe have a better team "but aren't better in any other way".... Apart from ground, training ground, fan base etc etc. To think I loved Burnley for most of last season, things change quickly.
DB11 Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 They're now moaning that Cambiasso had the referee under his control and wouldn't leave his side all game
shade Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 We've got a better forum. We win anyway. obviously, we're better than them on every level, and I mean, EVERY level.
Babylon Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 obviously, we're better than them on every level, and I mean, EVERY level.Disagree, they are much better at being whinging fecks.

Finnegan Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 I would love to see Sunderland relegated to see them stuck with Defoe on 80k a week for another 2 years Don't worry, they'll be fine. Arry will get another job and snap him up for a meagre 8mil.
davieG Posted 26 April 2015 Posted 26 April 2015 Are Leicester City Ready To Do The Impossible? For much of this season Leicester City have been gutsy without having enough about them to secure too many points. Although no one will forget their 5-3 victory over Manchester United back in September. All three sides that were promoted have struggled to find a foothold in the English Premier League and for much of the season Leicester City have been bottom of the pile looking up at everyone else. But something has suddenly changed for the ‘Foxes’. Their endeavour has finally been rewarded with some timely victories. In the last month the club from the East Midlands have secured four wins out of four, that was after seventeen games without a league win. The Foxes haven’t seen four consecutive Premier League wins in their history before the 1-0 win over Burnley this weekend. This sudden run of form has seen Nigel Pearson’s side climb out of the relegation zone (for this time since November). As the final whistle blew at Turf Moor and Leicester’s manager and his team celebrated yet another vital three points, the away fans cheered… “We are staying up!” A lot of credit has to be given to Pearson as he has masterminded this up-turn in fortune and has rejuvenated the whole club at this critical time of the season. The fifty-one year old manager has suffered a pretty harsh debut season as a boss in England’s Top Flight. Only a few months back his future in sever doubt with many media outlets reporting he was on the verge of being sacked. Leicester City’s owners must be glad that they didn’t pull the trigger in February. Nigel has remained true to his beliefs and importantly has stuck by his squad. He boldly sends his troops out to attack teams and not to drop their heads if they concede a goal or two. Pearson’s faith in his pool of players has been rewarded with his squad continuing to fight tooth and nail to get more points on the board. No doubt getting influential goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel back to full fitness has been a huge plus point for the team at the King Power Stadium. The Danish international broke his foot back in December and didn’t return until the end of March, where Leicester just lost out away to Spurs. That Spurs loss was the last before these four wins in a row, with Kasper being in between the sticks for all of them and keeping two cleansheets in the process (winning the man of the match award against Burnley). Midfield man Esteban Cambiasso has been that bit of class for Leicester all season. The veteran has helped his side by grabbing four goals, the club have collected points in three out of the four games in which the Argentine has scored. At thirty-four years of age, he has won Serie A titles, La Liga and a Champions League winners medal, yet he still performs heroically every week for The Foxes this term. You cannot fault his attitude or his ability! Loanee Robert Huth has helped shore up the defence. While forward Jamie Vardy has scored three in his last five outings and has also provided two assists in the same period of time. If only top-scorer Leonardo Ulloa could find the net regualry again. Many more of the squad have started coming to the fore recently after being written off for much of this campaign. Credit to them for not just dropping their heads and accepting their supposed doomed outcome. That kind of sums up Leicester City. They have a never say die attitude and just when you think its over they comeback and surprise you. You cannot afford to write them off as they have shown they are now capable of winning at this level and that should be enough to keep them up. Before the massive relegation battle against Burnley, Nigel Pearson said this… “We have got to keep our fate in our own hands as much as possible. Winning games does that.” Well now their fate is very much in their own hands and with four out of the last five fixtures being at the King Power Stadium (with QPR visiting on the final day) would you really bet against The Foxes completing the miracle of all miracles and staying up?
