He’s probably holding on to the Usyk fight as his last fight  as he wants to stay undefeated . Just guessing!

I don't think he's stupid.

I think the dodging of Usyk IS the staying undefeated. I think he knows he loses that fight.

So are we all expecting a repeat in the Zhang Vs Joyce fight?

I think it's a Zhang win again for me...Joyce is a unit, but his head movement is so poor!

Joyce has put some weight on.. might not lose the physical battle… needs to keep moving and rotating  to the left..

Well how does Joyce recover career wise from that?

:dunno:

He was always massively over rated wasn't he. No doubt he's got a ridiculous chin but when you're that slow and your whole gimmick is relying on your durability to keep walking people down, eventually you're going to meet a guy powerful enough to cause you real harm.

That's what's happened with Zhang. Now everyone's going to over hype Zhang and make him out to be the next big thing until he gets battered by someone elite.

I watched him fight Hrgovic in the fight before Joyce and he was woeful (they both were tbf.)

So Joyce has the same career now he always did. He can keep plodding along fighting guys beating most of the division and getting paid. He's just never going to be a proper champion but that's alright, not everyone can be.

who is next for Zhang ?  would be a huge purse in China

He's a mandatory for Usyk now isn't he? Can't see him taking step aside money, it's pretty big for China if he does well, I'm sure he's got plenty of backers back home.

Zhang reminds me a bit of George Foreman. Absolute iron fists but he’s not very mobile. Plus he’s 40. Bit of exposure for Zhang, couple of nice pay days but someone like Fury or Usyk will dance rings round him.  He’s probably clock Joshua though..If he’s sensible, he won’t believe the hype around him and  take a few fights with the likes of Chisora/ Parker er all..

ONLY 50 million tuned in from China for his first fight with Joyce  but some estimate  500 million for this one. Potentially a box office dream..

Yes but I beleive Usyk will have to defend his IBF belt next against Filip Hrgovic, so could be a long time before the WBO call Usyk's next mandatory defence. If Fury is all about the money now then i wonder if Fury Vs Zhang could happen next with big money coming in from China? Both promoted by Frank Warren, so no issues there other than Fury wanting silly money.

I think during his docu-series Fury said he wanted 100m to fight again. He might have been joking but  With all the box office money  that could come from China, that could be nailed on to be in Saudi Arabia which is about bang in the middle of the time zone differences and both men could retire happy from that fight..

Joe Joyce was a lump; he moved like a lump and boxed like a lump, no movement and no finesse, his time boxing at the top table is done, very likable man, hugely intelligent but sounds so so restricted when he talks

lucky for him he never got to fight Fury

Don’t think there is Box office TV in china

and Macau Casinos might rival Saudi for the right to hold this one

there was supposedly 500m people who watched the fight last night in China.. if they don’t do box office, there’s got to be some money made from selling the rights to the fight in China at least , I’d imagine.. or maybe they’d show it in cinemas to make their money.. either way, there’s got to be money that can be made from that many viewers.. I mean, there’s always the chance of the fight being held actually IN China for this kind of situation..

Him and Joshua can have a trilogy to find out who's the biggest fraud.

will probably be the first fight in history where both boxers lose…

Classic fury. One day states that he has no interest in fighting Usyk and the next day confirms that he's signed a contract to fight Usyk (also confirmed by Usyk's promoter and the Saudi money men)
