Both Joshua and Fury look nowhere near their former best. Their fight should’ve happened ten years ago.

it’s all a bit rubbish isn’t it?. A better fighter would have totally finished AJ today tonight. He shouldn’t be letting Prenga tag him like that. I just don’t see how he beats Fury. Fury is NOT a knock out artist, but there’s a real chance he could stop AJ.

if I was AJ, I’d just swallow my pride and retire.  I’d wish they’d both retire actually and just let the boxing world move on from them both, but there’s a big chance AJ will lose a Fury fight so it would definitely be in his best interests to retire now

Kelly  v Agarko scrap was good. Sheeraz eas clearly mentally on fumes after 2 back to back camps. Did just enough but not convincing.

Prenga had to come out like that and fair play. Aj never looked rocked though and did what he does.

Fun night of boxing

This the fury that took 6 round to retire an ancient wach who had a recent record of 8 out of 10 losses? lol

I did read that it was fury’s plan to get some rounds under his belt. I read this before the fight not after so it’s a bit more believable for me lol. He explicitly stated that after the fight too.

EDIT:

During an interview ahead of the bout, Fury was explicitly asked how important getting rounds under the lights was to him. He responded, "I want to box his head off, 12 rounds if possible. But if it goes a little bit sooner than that, then happy days." Media reports from ESPN also confirmed that Fury stated earlier in the week that he was specifically looking for "good rounds." [1, 2]

I do have to point out that  AJ was clearly  reaching and clinging/ hanging on on several occasions after the first  knock down and if you watch that first round again, AJs left leg was all over the place after the first knock down so he clearly was absolutely rocked. However credit to him for pulling through and getting the KO as that’s not something he’s been able to do too often - get up off the floor and win. I think the only other time was against Klitschko in 2017 but he was much younger then.

Well yeah, by all accounts he was fighting a human punch bag, so that tracks haha

Fury won't show half the aggression pregnant did at any point.

Honestly we all need to see it just to settle it at this point lol

Its a nice side show from the proper stuff. Moses v Hrgovic has me much more excited haha

The boxing powers robbed us of that spectacle

The Promoters Bi*ched and moaned with excuse after excuse as to why it never happened

Unforgivable in my book

In Heavyweight boxing, you’re only ever one punch away from getting dropped.

However, Wilder, Fury and AJ all need to step away now.

They are all shadows of themselves.

At this point, they’re just nostalgic call backs to fights people wanted 6 - 10 years ago.

Totally agree. Unfortunately, their egos & people around them will only see the pound signs. The fight will make a ridiculous amount, but the power's that be have to be concerned about Joshua's vulnerability & health. He is shot.

yeah I’m so excited by the Itauma fight!  That will be the defining fight on whether he is all hype or a genuine world elite level. Same for Benn v Garcia.

This was my concern last night, actually,

( however the big mistake here of course was that Prenga was ranked 52 going into the fight. But the point remains.. an Elite level fighter would have probably finished him).

Dave Allen absolutely spot on. He said a few years ago, Fury v Joshua would be a cracker, probably resulting in a Fury win on points.

Now, it’ll probably be over in 2 rounds and whoever gets clipped first will lose. Most likely AJ.

Hmm.. I mean, if Fury can get up from a wilder punch he can get up from a Joshua punch. Wilder is an awful boxer but very few can hit harder than him in his prime..

Its just for a massive last pay day

On paper it still sounds awesome to the non boxing fan.

In reality its a farce, be like Jimmy White V Steve Davis trying to recreate the old days in Snooker

Both have lost their punch resistance, Joshua dramatically so. Any pressure from Fury & AJ will just fold. IMO.

Oooo just realised Royston Barney Smith is fighting Belotti on the O'Leary v Chamberlain card.

Should be a great couple of fights.

Chamberlain proper stepping into the lions den in Dublin lol

anyone watching the Itauma fight? Ring walk is supposedly  10:30pm.  Fawa is serving me well.

Was going to but it’s £24.99, I’m not sure it’s worth that tbh.

This is a tough tough fight for itauma.  lots of people expecting him to steamroller hrgovic.

Make no mistake if he DOES steamroller him, it moves him to be one of the best fighters in the heavyweight division.

I've actually put a £5 bet on hrgovic at 9-1 that's long odds for a fight this close.

I'm watching Mayer vs Cameron atm, since I can. (I need to get as much value out of my new Sky Sports subscription as possible, right? :D )

Good odds,

I imagine you'll lose your fiver though.

I imagine you are right, but the one thing we don't know about itauma is how he reacts if he gets clocked.

It was a throw away bet, but it's not a 9-1 fight this.
