Does anyone know if anyone is expected to sign, Nugent, Mills perhaps? Just basic news please :sweating:

If they did then you'd know about it by now, trust me.

I'd be shocked if another new signing isn't announced tomorrow.

I was just about slash my wrists after today's disappointment

Think I'll wait till tomorrow now, I don't think we're anywhere close to Maynard or Mills so I'm going think you're inferring Nugent or Chad Evans or maybe Peter Masilela being made official, or perhaps Michael Ball

Sky Sports News is reporting that we're interested in John O'shea

Interested in how he came to be a professional footballer on behalf of amateur footballers everywhere?

Is that a comment to say that you wouldn't want him to play for Leicester?

If so you need your head checking!!

The wedge he'd be on, I think there would be better options.

It's one thing being a utility man for United (a very good United team) - but what role would he play for us?

Do you really rate him so highly?

I suppose I'd best get my head checked. Either that or match all my opinions to yours...

Think about it.

Mills

Maynard

Would honestly cream my pants if these 2 happened. Would quite like Derbyshire too...

God are you reading? :)

I agree.

Which means you also, must need your head checking.

There's one sane man here, holding the key to the asylum...

I don't deny that he would take a lot of wonga but I can't see how being a top defender with international and champions league experience wouldn't improve our defence 10 times over?

He would know how to lead a team and I only think he would demand the same wages, cost etc as Mills....

And in my opinion he is better than Mills because he has more experience over loads of different levels that Mills may never get? Or maybe I'm just being stupid and St Ledger and Mills have just been unnoticed in the last few years and should have been playing for one of the best teams in Europe and competing in the CL.....

If United have players fit, JO'S is not in the first XI

I'm not going to argue over and over because its opinion. The fact is, he is a decent player, yes, but its not the sort of signing to be making at the moment.

The point about PL and CL football is an interesting one I could easily turn around with 2 key points:

1) Is he really going to be that fussed about playing Championship football

2) Can he do it without world class players around him

3) The football is very very different in terms of style and the necessary approach

Of course, he could come in and do very, very well, but honestly, for the wonga he'd want, I'd prefer a hungry young go-getter we can keep hold of for years and build a defence around. Someone with some Championship experience. I think Mills would be a shrewd siging. I like SSL - he has ability and he plays the game in a way SGE will like - he's comfortable with the ball, I just hope his reputation for causing trouble and disharmony doesn't come back to bite us.

asking if were going to sign anybody this week is like asking am i going to take a dump this week??-- probably and id bloody like to think so,but sometimes these things are just 'blocked'! ;)lol

on another note, hopefully we 'push harder' for maynard,,especially after cms deal came to a 'sticky end' and we couldn't 'follow through'!

and yeah i suppose matt mills would be alright!

;)
