Worrying that Sven is still living in the Marriott?

He's looked round a fair few properties but only wants to rent a house. In a sense i think we all know it's highly likely he'll do one if we don't make it into the Prem before his contract is up. But to me this says that it's definite he'll be off. It was a similar thing with Mandaric. I never felt he was fully committed.

He said when he and Tord had their session with the sponsors in Uppsala that he enjoyed living in Leicester and that he was living in a great apartment centrally.

Maybe it's just easier to rent. He own a couple of places already, in Sweden, Portugal and maybe in london. He can get fired really quickly and is quite used to that home is where I live for the time being.

It wouldn't surprise me if he left whatever happens after the seasons over.

Why would he ? If we get promoted and the owners hand him are on good foot then there is a real challenge to stay up or maybe nick a european place if we're succesful in the transfermarket.

Yep, that.

I'd been led to believe he owned a house not far away from his time at Notts County as well. I'm sure he has property in England though with us being his fourth job here.

I wouldn't be too concerned about this. Sven has a portfolio of seriously expensive properties around the world (London, Italy, France, Sweden). With all due respect he doesn't need to buy a place in Leicester, he can afford to just pay high rent for two or three years, which is about how long we can expect him to stay in all seriousness.

Ive heard him say on more than one occasion, that he would sign long term contract with us if offerered.

Sign him up for 5 years, Top!

He's employed to get us up & has been given all the resources to do so, if he doesn't get us up he's hardly going to be offered an extension to his contract is he?

In January if promotion looks likely he'll no doubt be negotiating with our owners, but not before being photographed going for a meal with another club/country representative :giggle: . I do however think he's more loyal than when he was using Chelsea to get a better contract out of the FA for England, so if promotion looks likely I hope the lure of the Premiership & growing us to Europe (if we continue to receive generous backing) will be too much to ignore.

He still owns that house in Nottingham...can't get rid of it at nearly a £1 million pounds!

Yeah I thought this, he turned the xmas lights on if I remember correctly

If you're going to criticise Sven for not seeming committed you could at least get your facts straight first.

no shit. that's why i asked the person 3 times whether they was still the case as it was central to the post. then when someone mentioned that he was in Rothley i asked the person again and they said oh yeah sorry i forgot about that.

Sven definetly lives in the village of Rothley, the very best part where property costs an arm & a leg.

He also enjoys a drink in the village & is a really friendly guy, no airs or graces about him at all, genuine fella.

Hope he stays at City long term as he has brought huge prestige to our football club & players come to City very much because he is our manager.

Top & his Dad must hold on to Sven as imo the sky's the limit with him at the helm.

I know that I am preaching to mainly the already confirmed!
