The thing I don't understand is where he got that 20 million pound figure from unless he is an ITK and knows our transfer dealings

It looks like we share scouts, so he probably does ;)

On a serious note, the bloke is such a loud mouth!

Just goes to show the difference in revenue the premier brings to clubs. £600k for a televised game compared to £60k in the championship. The man utds & chelseas of the league must make at least £3m from having their games on the tv alone. Plus they still sellout every week.

Joe cole? Am I missing something? Parker will probably leave WH me thinks, Villa are interested in him.

Edit: Oh, you mean Carlton cole? Wouldn't suprise me if he left either.

Birmingham are ahead I would think, I reckon reading, cardiff and probably blackpool too, but who knows plenty of time left in the transfer window for that to change.

Hmm i think that used to be the case, but their squad has been utterly decimated this summer. Play-off contention rather than automatic contention for me now because of the fire-sale they've had on. Plus the dodgy dealings with their owner won't help a single jot.

I think Hull City, Middlesborough and Blackpool will surprise a few plus Ipswich Town have been spending some money.

But West Ham United are still the team to beat, i think Allardyce will be perfect for this league.

All of these sides have lost key players over the summer while we've been busy recruiting them.

None of them are likely to be challengers. Hull and Middlesbrough (and maybe Leeds, if they can keep Max Gradel) are teams to keep an eye on, though.

we already have a great team! i'd seriously have wellens and king over cole and parker! cole's been rubbish last couple of seasons and parker scores 5 goals a season! wellens creates 12 goals a season! technically very good and king scores nearly 20 goals a season now!

What's gonna happen when we're mid table after 5/10 games?

The Championship is a marathon, not a sprint. Unless some other team wins their first 10 matches (which is largely unlikely) I won't be too perturbed if we're still in mid-table at the end of September.

If we're bottom, like last season, that might be a different story..

Just been watching the link at the top of the thread...

Sullivan is one of the few people at that level of football who talk about realities even if it is not popular or hurts.

Last season - before they went down - he was discussing the impact of West Ham being relegated and said that he had a business plan and strategy in place should it happen.

And here he is talking about the negative impact of a televised game and the possibility of getting bogged down with other teams in a hopeless fight for promotion - Doncaster seem to be a team that get some attention for a potential "Wednesday night away game" hick-up.

I would like to see more people talk about realities and not just pipe dreams.

I do miss Pearson's painful honesty at times - i.e. the new wave of "we can still get promotion because it is a mathematical possibility" approach to the end of last season.

I just wanted some one at the Club to say, "To be honest...we've ****ed it."

Any how, back to fantasy football... bring on Madrid!

Oh yes, anyone got any tickets? If so, I can meet you in any pub in Leicestershire with £65 and a pint in it for you. I bought the last one this morning and need two more.

Up the City!

Cardiff have lost players but if you look they have also replaced them with people equally as good and could still be a danger

With Bothroyd and Chopra moving on, and Bellamy being recalled by Man City, that's a 50-goal tally to make up.

Even if Earnshaw has the season of his life, I can't see them being so prolific this time around.

Cardiff's best chance of promotion was last season.

Can't see them being a force next year.
