Ghana defender John Pantsil has joined English Championship side Leicester City, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal. The right-back signed a three-year contract with the club on Thursday afternoon after passing a medical. "I have just signed a three-year contract with Leicester City," Pantsil told GHANAsoccernet.com exclusively. Pantsil moves to the ambitious club on a free transfer after being released by Premier League side Fulham at the end of last season.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 21 July 2011 Posted 21 July 2011 I see A LOT of clean sheets next season. Possibly at the other end too. Get a striker in Sven!
Joe. Posted 21 July 2011 Posted 21 July 2011 Good signing. He might have endured a bad year with Fulham, but he's got bags of experience at both club and international level and strong pedigree to go with it. Competition for places is always healthy, and Peltier is going to be forced to stay on his toes if he's to hold down a first team place now. Pleased with this one.
Kent Posted 21 July 2011 Posted 21 July 2011 Now becomes a question of who starts between him and Pelts. Will be interesting to see.
ozleicester Posted 21 July 2011 Posted 21 July 2011 Got to hand it to Sven, our biggest problem last year was a flimsy defence, he has certainly addressed that. Im still expecting a Prem league striker on loan to cover the front.
Izzet is God Posted 21 July 2011 Posted 21 July 2011 Good signing if you ask me...looks like Sven really was disappointed with the defence last year. Just a striker needed now...
LCFCMickey Posted 21 July 2011 Posted 21 July 2011 Seriously, playing LCFC in FM2012 will be too easy.

There is going to be a lot of un happy players next season, the squad is totally unbalanced cant see there being any team spirit unless we ship some out. How many defenders do we need? we need a striker.
Itsthejoeker Posted 21 July 2011 Posted 21 July 2011 I see A LOT of clean sheets next season. Possibly at the other end too. Get a striker in Sven! Opposition sheets won't be clean, they'll be cacking it at the thought of Pantsil groping their tackle
Happy Fox Posted 21 July 2011 Posted 21 July 2011 There is going to be a lot of un happy players next season, the squad is totally unbalanced cant see there being any team spirit unless we ship some out. How many defenders do we need? we need a striker. Patience
Madrid_Fox Posted 21 July 2011 Posted 21 July 2011 Are we in the business of collecting defenders? A striker please. I want a real bargain and stop spending crazy money!
Toffee_Fox Posted 21 July 2011 Posted 21 July 2011 From the people who broke the news at the start of the week Fourth_Official Fourth Official John Pantsil has put pen to paper on his 3 year deal at #LCFC - Waiting for the club's web team to update the site
Happy Fox Posted 21 July 2011 Posted 21 July 2011 Thank you Sven for assembling a defense which is unrivaled in quality and will stop us conceding goals like we did last season. Pantsil is a quality signing
General Smuts Posted 21 July 2011 Posted 21 July 2011 DavieG im appalled. This is a transfer talk thread at best until confirmed on the OS. You should know better. For shame.

davieG Posted 21 July 2011 Author Posted 21 July 2011 DavieG im appalled. This is a transfer talk thread at best until confirmed on the OS. You should know better. For shame. I make the rules, I can break the rules A precedent was broken recently and when I commented on it in the Mods room I was over ruled so if you can't beat them join them
Ozwin Posted 21 July 2011 Posted 21 July 2011 Seriously, playing LCFC in FM2012 will be too easy. Goes against all my FM morals. Starting with good teams and playing as a team with loads of money. I'm going to have to adopt a new team or something.
Liamlcfc1 Posted 21 July 2011 Posted 21 July 2011 Ian Stringer John Pansil becomes Sven's 8th new signing of summer at #lcfc. Free agent, 3 year deal. Was due to join squad in Austria, may not now though
John Matrix Posted 21 July 2011 Posted 21 July 2011 most likely see him at the kettering game if he doesn't fly out
Corky Posted 21 July 2011 Posted 21 July 2011 There is going to be a lot of un happy players next season, the squad is totally unbalanced cant see there being any team spirit unless we ship some out. How many defenders do we need? we need a striker. We needed another right-back. If Peltier was injured we'd have no cover, now we've got competition for the right back place.
Mr Miaghi Posted 21 July 2011 Posted 21 July 2011 Great news, like you guys I am pleased with the defensive signings. Lets push on and get a striker or 2 plus a winger in the ilk of Routledge???? Blue Army!!!!!

How many defenders do we need? we need a striker. GKs - Schmeichel, Weale. RBs - Peltier, Pantsil. CBs - Mills, Bamba, St. Ledger. LBs - Konchesky, Ball, Berner Two in each position, I'd call that healthy competition myself. Could probably do with another centre-back on loan maybe, but that aside I think we're there with our backline.

sdb Posted 21 July 2011 Posted 21 July 2011 Speaking of unhappy players, looks like we're going back to match day squads of 16. Not good for us.
