Father Ted Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 I just have this feeling they'll do enough to stay up. Two home games in a row vs Millwall and Doncaster and their home form seems to be serving them well Would be nice if they went down tonight though!
ScouseFox Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 A Bristol City goal sends Reading up, Pompey down and Coventry down.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Cov should have gone down years ago, glad they have now gone.
ScouseFox Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Reading up. Thank fúck. Good riddance to themselves and almost certainly to Coventry too.
Guest Bilo Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Fantastic, the two most depressing trips in the division gone. I have a feeling we'll be visiting the Madejski long before the Ricoh though.
Kitchandro Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Fantastic, the two most depressing trips in the division gone. I have a feeling we'll be visiting the Madejski long before the Ricoh though. I admire your optimism I don't know why people think Coventry is terrible, we always take over 5,000 there and this season it was one of the most enjoyable matches without doubt for me. Nowhere near as bad as Reading.
Fox92 Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 When it happens in a few minutes, well done Reading!! McDermott has deserved this more than any manager in the League.
Finchy Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Where the hell have all those Reading fans come from?
purpleronnie Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Where the hell have all those Reading fans come from? reading.
Matt Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Reading will never last in the Premiership without Matt Mills...
Lamby Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 All those Reading fans means the FA will be going mental at them, they did that at us when we had less than 100 invade at Carlisle
Guest Bilo Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 I admire your optimism I don't know why people think Coventry is terrible, we always take over 5,000 there and this season it was one of the most enjoyable matches without doubt for me. Nowhere near as bad as Reading. It's not so much optimism as ranking the likelihood of circumstances where we'd visit each ground. 1. Reading get relegated from the Premiership. 2. City get promoted to the Premiership. 3. Coventry come back up, 4. City get relegated again. I seriously think it'll be a long time before the M69 Derby is played out again, thank God. Don't get me wrong, if the noise we made matched up to the numbers we took it'd be fantastic but it never, ever does. It's such a poor trip; no good pubs anywhere near it, an utterly soulless ground that's if anything worse than our own and a bunch of pubescents in front of a big screen being their excuse for atmosphere. Also, the pictures from Reading illustrate two things we need. 1: Pace throughout the squad next season. Crucial in this league. 2. A pitch invasion if/when it pays off. If Reading fans can do it, so can we. Congrats to Reading, deserved promotion.

ScouseFox Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Reading were two points and one place behind us when Sven was sacked. So they've gained 27 more points than us in the following 31 games. Madness.
Fox92 Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 McDermott is the best manager in the league and has done wonderful since taking over.... At least we won't have to play them next season, they always seem to beat us...
Guest MattP Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 Well done Reading. Well at least Top can tell Asia Sports Investments he's funded one teams promotion to the Premiership this season.
