My Mum and Partner have season tickets at Everton and they say he's the worst player they've had there for years. Every time he gets game time everyone in the ground just groans. He has the first touch of a complete oaf. We'd be better off spending £3million elsewhere.

There's inevitably going to be disappointment in not signing the particular players that have been steadfast thread monoliths, however I genuinely think we'll end up with a 'leftfield' option with a more known loanee down the line.

Big Dave Posted 9 August 2011 Posted 9 August 2011 He is a year younger than Shane Long, and taking aside Shane Longs last season, had a similar scoring record. He has often been played on the wing for Everton, so isn't going to score dozens of goals from that position. He is very highly rated at Everton, recently signing an improved 4-1/2 year contract. He signed a 4 year contract only a couple of years ago. I think he could do a decent job for us, but perhaps £3m is a little pricey?
