Happy Fox Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 Isn't he a right back? No he is a CB predominantly, can play both RB and LB as well
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 Really hope he doesn't go. If Mills is worth £5million then Bamba's worth at least £6million.
Joe. Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 Isn't he a right back? He can play there and has done a couple of times for City, but he's mainly a centre-back.
drc Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 The problem is that we have worked the whole preseason with defending and strngthen that up, and Bamba seem to be second choice after Mills as centre back at the moment. I'm sure S.t Ledger can be good but what if we have some injuries, It's Michael Ball or Tunchev then and no of them seems like safe cards.
drc Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 Onouha played at city when Sven was there (eith Ball, Johnson,Faz and Fernandes), he had great pace and I'm sure Sure Sven would like him here if he could have him. But hasn't Nedum been loaned out to Premiership clubs before, he probably would choose that again if he was asked.
VampLCFC Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 Personal reasons he went to France yesterday maybe he is considering his future How do you know he has gone to France??
FrankieADZ Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 I wouldnt go Blackburn for the pure fact they might try and put ya in there stupid Venky's adverts.
Happy Fox Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 Nedum isn't going to get any game time at Man City, we could be a feasible option for him he would be a first team starter, and he knows Sven well, we shall see
thybluefox Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 If he goes he needs to be replaced, playing Ball at CB isn't an option and we can't rely on Tunchev to stay fit unfortunately.
drc Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 How do you know he has gone to France?? It was reported somewhere, can't remember if it was on Twitter or the monday radio moan in
Joe. Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 Ah, fuck. Fourth_Official Fourth Official Sol Bamba to Blackburn is definitely taking place #BRFC
Jaspa Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 C'mon Sven, to get rid of Sol could leave a hole in the spirit of the team, which is what we need to go up. Just come out and say clearly, 'Not for sale' and show we won't be bullied by anyone. How dare Kean even comment on the matter, he's our player right now.
Danno Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 Well hopefully we get a fee of 4-5m for him He isn't worth 4-5m though is he..
Happy Fox Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 Their must be a reason for letting him go but I cannot think of one, unless the money recouped from his sale goes straight into our striker money pot? He isn't worth 4-5m though is he.. 3-4m?
drc Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 My guess is that Sven doesn't want to sell Bamba. Therefor he started him at Real Madrid and Coventry. Sven is though not a fan about keeping players against their will, so my guess Bamba wants to taste the PL. You can't really blame him because it's not sure that Leicester are there next season and you never know if he gets another shot at it. I think it's a shame if he go.
Nocturnal Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 Must have wanted to go, i think Sven would have kept him otherwise.
drc Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 so to add salt to injury - who has already purchases a shirt with Bamba on it's back ?
thewarmanator Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 This has probably already been brought up but we were after Jason Roberts last year and still need a striker, Part of the deal??
Happy Fox Posted 10 August 2011 Posted 10 August 2011 This is truly shit, it is sad I thought the Mills Bamba partnership was really steady against Cov and now it is broken
