Jermaine Beckford

yes Beckford is massively over rated

You can't argue that when you're all for Maynard who you've probably only seen play against us last week.

Beckford's proven at Champ level and has done well above average for Everton in the Prem.

Good signing if we get him. Wanted Maynard, but hopefully we snap him up another time. Beckford will be a real asset I feel.

Tevez... at Everton...

He is not proven at Champ level, he jumped from L1 to the Prem.

think that was a wind up! He'd rather come here than go there !!

Beckford will be a great signing. Proved he can do it at the top level so little suprising that he's stepping down!

I just hope Everton are keen to get rid of him to prevent any potential hiccups with contract negotiations. His record speaks for itself.

So our front three (assuming we play 4-3-3) for the Barnsley game could well be:

Kebe - Beckford - Nugent (if fit)

....Wow, just wow.

Or

Jelavic - Beckford - Nugent

I'll take either.

Never been that much of a fan to be honest but he should definatley be a good signing and clearly better than what we've got, £4m is not a ridiculous bid either compared to other bids been touted.

Fair enough, didn't really think about that :P

£4mill for someone who pretty much killed league 1 and then did fairly well in a relatively poor premiership side.

Or.

£6.5mill for someone who had 1 good season in a poor Championship side.

No brainer IMO.

It's clearly a joke. Hence referring to an unknown player as "great".

Off the pitch Beckford is apparently controversial...

Will Sven (welllllllll....) be able to manage him I wonder?

Could be trouble

Yeah, I especially like this one from Avinalaff - [How can you put a 6m value on the guy without seeing him play a full season? My valuation is based on watching the guy play football both with us and Leeds. I really believe he has what it takes. Sven is no muppet, and has far more experience than Moyes has. Take a look how expensive the so called 'best' strikers in the league were to buy. You can't buy a Ginsters pasty for less than 6m these days, let alone a great player with the blistering pace of Beckford. [/i][/i][/b]

Cheers. Would be delighted with Beckford and Kebe, are they looking likely?

Jerome? :nono:
