Nick Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 Let's not start celebrating just yet. Beckford is a fookin LAD and he'll want a right load of dough and will probably blank Andrew Neville and expect Sven to meet him up Sam's Chicken. If a PL club comes in I expect him to want to go there first. But at least we're in to stage two of our striker situation. Oh so true.
Austin Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 I really don't understand Everton these days. Are they skint or something? Yes they are.
Ric Flair Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 I really don't understand Everton these days. Are they skint or something? Have you been hiding under a rock for the past month with Gadaffi? Moyes will sell his mum for a sniff of the english relm.
davieG Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 Sky Sports Argie Striker Denis Stracqualursi having medical at Everton tonywes on Twitter: "Everton to use Beckford funds to get Tevez in on loan. Tevez keen to pair up with the great Argentinian Denis Stracqualursi."
themotivator Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 how old is this gu? i dont know, i cant be bothered to google it either.
ozleicester Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 I really don't understand Everton these days. Are they skint or something? Yes
Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 I really don't understand Everton these days. Are they skint or something? They need to 'sell to buy'. thats their way of describing it.
Leicester Bob Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 Dropping down won't matter, Everton look like a club in freefall and worth a punt for relegation. So who knows, we might have swapped divisions with them by next august. no chance mate bad season by their own high standards but they will still be a solid mid table outfit this year.
Liamlcfc1 Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 On his way to agree terms and medical i have been told
wolfgang amadeus Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 Think we should just go for the Argentinian going to Everton, they have a great scouting network and wouldn't be able to outbid us with no money. Sorted.
thybluefox Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 PEople really think Maynard would be a better bet than Beckford? Seriously? Also considering we could be paying ~£2million less?!
mancunianfox Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 Beckford does have a reputation of having an attitude but iirc he did pretty well in his last year at Leeds after they had refused to sell him during the previous Summer. I can’t see much getting in the way of this guy and scoring goals…he loves doing it too much.
Austin Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 Probably start some acoustic rap group with Danns and Vassell. he'll definitely sign for this reason.
Saxondale Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 Have you been hiding under a rock for the past month with Gadaffi? Moyes will sell his mum for a sniff of the english relm. Well, strangely enough, I haven't been following Everton that closely because: a) I don't give monkeys about them b) See above
Master Fox Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 Its all about the jelavic signing. Throw 9 Mill at their face. Get him in. Beckford, shrewd.
Fox1651 Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 PEople really think Maynard would be a better bet than Beckford? Seriously? Also considering we could be paying ~£2million less?! yes Beckford is massively over rated
Saxondale Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 So in summary, we're relying on Everton agreeing terms with an Argie bloke called Denis so that the Beckford deal gets done. How times have changed that they're skint in we're the ones flexing the cash muscles. Love it!
Vlad The Impaler Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 So our front three (assuming we play 4-3-3) for the Barnsley game could well be: Kebe - Beckford - Nugent (if fit) ....Wow, just wow.
wolfgang amadeus Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 Think the everton deal depends on ours as opposed to the other way round.
Alexikokopops Posted 31 August 2011 Posted 31 August 2011 Well, strangely enough, I haven't been following Everton that closely because: a) I don't give monkeys about them b) See above Neither have I, but hasn't it been common knowledge for about 3 seasons that they have no money?
