DUBNBASS Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 right i know we are 3 whole games in and we are all so full of woe but its starting to get boring. i know some players have not come good yet but we are all being very down beat. i have watched the highlights of all the matchs so far and there are alot of positives that we can take, mills will settle and show his true quality and give the support kasper really requires infront of him. konchesky and bamba have looked pretty good fernandes has been a worth while addition. lets look forward to the weekend it can only get better
Basil Brush Posted 18 August 2011 Posted 18 August 2011 A win will change it all, and only a win. A win at Forest is a must, or a point even. I dont care about strikers now tbh im ***ing sick of hearing who we are after, it seems people are mocking us, lets just go with what we've got, get behind the team and Sven and fight! A long way to go, lots of teams to play, lets get it right now with thumping those forest ****! :sge:

woznotwos Posted 19 August 2011 Posted 19 August 2011 I want to be positive but its hard when your getting the piss ripped out of you at work by forest fans for spending big and playing shit . If we do em saturday tho i ll feel a little better , the alternative doesnt bare thinking about .
Daggers Posted 19 August 2011 Posted 19 August 2011 A long way to go, lots of teams to play, lets get it right now with thumping those forest ****! :sge: Four letters, disparaging term for another side Tits? Poos? It would probably help if you could give me a letter.
JoeyB Posted 19 August 2011 Posted 19 August 2011 To be honest there's to much ****ing moaning on this site, yeah we have had 2 bad results so far, but if people spent as much time getting behind the team as they did moaning we might get some support and decent atmosphere for once. as the old saying goes Rome wasn't built in a day, the players are still getting used to playing with each other so don't start expecting miracles just yet. just start supporting abd backing the team instead of moaning!!!
Blinking Blue Owl Posted 19 August 2011 Posted 19 August 2011 Can we please stop using this " the players need to gel blah blah blah " rubbish . That's what the training ground is for and what the coaches should be doing . Other clubs above us have had the same amount of new players as us and don't have a problem . We have to admit Sven has bought some lame ducks and have to except that . Even the manager himself needs to wise up and face the fact that his tactics especially at home have been dreadful and negative that's the real reason we have not been performing any where near our potential .

No, they haven't. Peltier Schmeichel Nugent Mills Danns St. Ledger Konchesky Pantsil Ball (Johnson) (Fernandes) That's 11 new faces. Show me another team above us in the table that has gotten 11 or more new players for this season. So back to your own backyard, comparing apples to prunes.
Amin Posted 19 August 2011 Posted 19 August 2011 I'm feeling a lot more positive after seeing the highlights; Nugent looks good!

MC Prussian Posted 19 August 2011 Posted 19 August 2011 Derby EPIC fail. I can only count ten names. EPIC FAIL on your behalf, methinks.
Bablemikey Posted 19 August 2011 Posted 19 August 2011 It's not just the number of new players in, it's the number that are actually starting in the side. I have no doubt that things will improve dramatically once they all settle down with each other because with the exception of Schmeichel and Nugent I would say that none of them are near to achieving their potential yet.

Raw Dykes Posted 19 August 2011 Posted 19 August 2011 I'm still positive that we can have a good season. Although the team isn't performing well enough at the moment, the facts remain that it is almost an entirely new first team, we do have some quality players for this division, there could well be even more good signings on the horizon, and we do have a world-class manager at the helm. Some will question Sven's reputation, but you have to ask how he got that reputation in the first place. Anyway, whether we like it or not, he is the current manager, and there's not a lot we can do to change that. He did get us firing last season, and apart from chopping and changing the defence too much, I don't think he did a lot wrong. I actually think even that might have been not entirely Sven's fault - I wouldn't be surprised if some or all of the loans in defence were allowed to go through on the condition that they go straight into the first team when available, and there were one or two too many. I think the other reason we faded towards the end of last season was because the wafer-thin options in midfield were unsurprisingly exhausted. The size of our squad could possibly be something of a hindrance at the moment, but it will no doubt be a huge advantage later in the season. I keep thinking about Sunderland's promotion under Roy Keane. Quite a similar situation to the one we find ourselves in - fairly similar sized club, stinking rich, terrible start to the season. Look where they ended up. Could happen here. I'll reassess my opinion of the team after another 10 games or so. It's still far too early to start calling for Sven's head.
MC Prussian Posted 19 August 2011 Posted 19 August 2011 when was the last time you seen them 11 start?? Never. Or have you? In what formation? A 6-3-1? Besides, what kind of a question is that? What's your point?
Raw Dykes Posted 20 August 2011 Posted 20 August 2011 Well that was just pure bad luck. Hard to take. Feels like we've just been thumped. I'm starting to calm down now, and I'm trying my best to look on the bright side. Although we did not get the result we deserved today, the performance was class, especially in the first half. Compare the performance against Reading with today's match, and it's amazing how much we've improved over just two games. The Brizzle match was a slight improvement over the Reading one (not difficult), and in the first half at the shitty ground, we did look like a team worthy of a lot of the hype. The results aren't going our way at the moment, but the performances certainly are improving - surely it's only a matter of time before we start picking up points. I believe we've found the ideal formation for our players, and the best XI (until any further signings or until Johnson is fully fit), and if we can carry on improving at this rate, then we can look forward to seeing what could be one of the best Leicester sides for a long time. I think when we're over the shock of the end of the F*rest match, there's a lot to be optimistic about.
