WhiteyBFC Posted 12 September 2011 Posted 12 September 2011 hello. i read thru ur threads about the weekend, and i have to say i was appalled tbh. so i felt i had to register, and give u my thoughts. the thoughts of a Barnsley fan. but before i do, id like to just say thanx to a handful of u, that said it as it is, and actually spoke with objectivity and honesty. but yeh, im ere, and replying really, to the vast majority of u, who have really gone down in my estimation with some of the comments made regarding the game, and more annoyingly my club, and our performance.. so bear with me, or choose to stay blinkered with ur media-made opinions of us.. . . . first off, i agree that the prices, and the whole category business, is a fcukin disgrace at BFC. we also have to pay them. 16 CAT A fixtures!? including Bristol, Ipswich, Blackpool and blummin MILLWALL, again!? its ludicrous, and the loss of 2500 home fans tells its own story. im a ST holder, so im paying around £13.50 a game. which is great value tbh. but not everyone can find £330 for a ST. and many ppl cant get to every game. the excuses from the club dont wash either. however, it is clubs such as West Ham, Derby, Ipswich and Leicester, that are making it such a distorted league financially, that we are left with little choice if we want to compete. next weekend we host Watford. its CAT C, and just £16! but its only 1 of 2 CAT C games. so thats my view on that. . . . now, my club. Robins wasnt up to the task of working on a reduced budget and walked/got pushed. our Barnsley born owner is refusing to bankroll us anymore. we are now spending only what we make. which complies with the new rules coming, and is how EVERY club should work. i applaud it. however, it means cheap recruitment, and obscene prices!? but with good management, and good recruits, it can be done. our new management, Hillcroft (Keith Hill, Dave Flitcroft), have been a breath of fresh air, and the new and old players are a TEAM. they may not be NAME players, but as we showed saturday, they can PLAY. in the right way too.. we started with a great 0-0 at Forest. we could have won. we then got beat 1-0 at home by Soton, who dominated us but the goal was an error from our reserve GK. we had a goal ruled not over the line from Vaz Te. could have got an undeserved point. 3 days later, and despite an early lead, we were outplayed by an awesome Boro side at Oakwell, and lost 3-1. we had players out, but we were dominated. next up, and down to just 14 fit players, we beat Reading away 2-1 with a great countering display. Steele saved 2 pens in 2 mins, and the 2nd and 3rd shouldnt have been given. just as against u, we played the ref, as usual.. we deserved the win nonetheless. our first EVER at the Mad Stad! we then went to the Den, and came away with another great point, 0-0. unbeaten away, and just the dodgy Reading pen conceded. a game of few chances, that neither side took.. . . . [to be continued in another post below] plz stick with it, id love to hear what u think...
Jon the Hat Posted 12 September 2011 Posted 12 September 2011 I think you shouldn't expect a view on your club you like from a Leicester Forum! Good luck though

Seems to me the vast majority of those LCFC fans who went to the game recognised that we were fortunate to get a point and that you were by far the better organised team, unless you're thinking of some other aspect to the weekend that I've missed.
21st Century Fox Posted 12 September 2011 Posted 12 September 2011 We get some genuinely insightful members from other clubs posting on here, but when one of your opening gambits is complaining about our money, your post becomes pointless. If your club were in the same position I'm sure you'd have no quarms and would be enjoying the ride, an ethos alot of our supporters have taken.

We know that we weer outplayed and probably didn't deserve the point we got, and you have admitted your self that the prices are too expensive. Ours are expensive too but i would be willing to bet you that we only charge adults £25.

thybluefox Posted 12 September 2011 Posted 12 September 2011 The fact you can't even be bothered to type properly has made me write this thread off straight away.
foxsake Posted 12 September 2011 Posted 12 September 2011 Grammar Also, no need for a possessive apostrophe in 'Nazis'.
WhiteyBFC Posted 12 September 2011 Author Posted 12 September 2011 we then went into the internationals with a view to getting players back from injury in time to face u boys.. for much of the games up to that point, we had been without Nathan Doyle, Andy Gray, Reuben Noble-Lazarus, Goran Lovré, Craig Davies, Ricardo Vaz Te, and Miles Addison.. all key 1st-teamers. luckily, we managed to get young Drinkwater in from Manure, and Park, a kid from Boro, both on loan.. thats the level we are shopping at.. Keith Hill said it best... "the Sotons, Boros and Leicesters are shopping at Waitrose. im having to shop at Aldi or Netto. there ARE bargains, good stuff at Aldi, but if we want a treat, we'd like to go to Waitrose. but we cant. money is king." . . . come the game, and only Gray made it.. Doyle an unused sub. and of course, we were worried where our goals were going to come from. with Haynes on the bench, and Reuben and Vaz Te missing, it looked at best a 0-0 draw.. on paper, YOU probably thought u had the better players, the better team, better manager, and so of course should win comfortably. just as 99% of u were predicting pre-match on ere.. it made me laugh seeing that. 4-0, 5-0, 3-0. they were the common scores u predicted. which showed an ignorance and arrogance that id have expected from maybe Manure, Chelski or Citeh. not bleedin Leicester!? okay guys, u have been cherry-picked by a dodgy Thai or whatever. spent absolute silly money on Championship standard players, and have an ex-England boss in charge. but looking at our form, and ur form, and historically, when have u been and crushed us easily at Oakwell?? not to my knowledge. 2-0, 2-1, maybe 3-1. they were more likely scorelines.. i admit, that i myself thought u would win. despite our great back 4 so far, and attractive football, we lack a cutting edge. and it showed.. so i expected a 0-0 at best, but more likely a 1 or 2-0 Leicester win.. as it turned out, in that 1st half, we were all over u like a rash. apart from an early Beckford effort easily saved low by Superman, u were penned into ur own half, relying on poor refereeing, Kasper, and our profligacy in front of goal.. but it was great to see. a team put together for around £1.5M, totally outplaying a team with god knows how much spent on it. blummin £4M on Mills?? u could have had Shackell off us for what Derby paid, £1M. our fans were unreal in their backing, ur fans sat silently apart from 10 mins after ur goal. the worst away backing ive ever heard. seriously. and thats what MONEY & EXPECTATION do to u.. we took a deserved lead with a great team goal from back to front. should have been 3 up by HT.. that equaliser, and 10 min spell was as good as it got for u. we stood strong and then retook control. and but for Kasper would deservedly won 3 or 4-1.. . . and so thats why i didnt understand why u say WE WERE AWFUL? u should beating SHITE TEAMS LIKE BARNSLEY?! Jeez. wake up ppl. its XI v XI. u are nay bigger than us, just richer. thanx 4 reading. check my about me too

ScouseFox Posted 12 September 2011 Posted 12 September 2011 Still doesn't change the fact we should be beating shite teams like Barnsley though.
