Manwell Pablo Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Much as I think he probably wasn't quite the right man for the job, to sack a manager after 13 games, when sitting 2 points off the play offs, despite the fact that he's panic buyed a lazy over rated striker and no wingers, is a little knee jerk. Although the fact that this has all made Alan Young look like a complete moron after the way he was carrying on on Saturday afternoon sort of makes it all worthwhile.
Edmund Posted 25 October 2011 Posted 25 October 2011 Under Sven we played the best football I've ever seen since watching Leicester. Absolutley gutted for him. It's not like we were on a losing streak, just inconsistent. You only need to look at Reading last year who were languishing in the bottom half throughout the season only to end up in the playoffs after putting a good run of results together. It was always going to be a slow start with so many new signings in the summer. We beat sides like Southampton and Brighton who were arguably the best teams in the division at that present time. I worry that confidence players like Nugent who fed off Svens management skills are going to suffer the most. Not to mention the ex Man City contingement who're only here because of Sven. MON will never come back, firstly he's being touted as the next England manager and secondly I doubt he'll want to work with our board as it's clear that they demand instant success. Also, Faz said that he's led to believe the owners already have their new man in place. MON doesn't discuss contracts with clubs who've still got a manager currently employed, he turned down West Ham last year because of that. Expect Avram Grant, Claudio Ranieri(sp), etc to be named as next manager

Sunday Mirror Sport understands that the former England, Manchester City and Leicester boss is seen as a safe pair of hands to guide Rovers out of their current crisis. Initially Eriksson is being considered a s a director of football to work alongside under-pressure boss Steve Kean. If Kean fails to mastermind a revival to lift the club from the relegation zone Rovers could turn to Eriksson as their next manager. Eriksson, 63, has the kind of high-profile reputation that Venky’s, the owners of Blackburn, have been striving to attract to Ewood Park since they bought the club in a £50million deal a year ago. He was sacked by Leicester last month after an inconsistent start to the season, but has won trophies with Gothenburg, Benfica, Sampdoria, Roma and Lazio.
stourbridgefox Posted 5 November 2011 Posted 5 November 2011 Good luck to him. (He'll probably need it)

You gotta hand it to Svennis, he always lands on his feet.
