sphericalfox Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Yep he;s gone. Not bothered tbh, anyone else can;t really do any worse. Really? If Billy Davies joins our club, then we truly are fooked. He'll get us up, if he gets the team onboard, then we'll sink like a stone.

MikeyT Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 What this thread needs is a monkey riding a pig. It'd make it more reasonable. You mean a man! And your wish is my command.
Ashley Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 He's gone. If any of you on here have me on facebook I just uploaded a picture from the suns website. Managers I would like in now. Billy Davies, Nigel Adkins(highly doubt hed come), Dave Jones. O'Neil won't come back so don't get your hopes up.
Chazwaz Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Wow 422 users reading topic! I think it may not of been the right time to get rid of him, sooner rather than later tho? Maybe the guy on the phone-in was right?
Fox96 Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Can't belive i'm saying this, but it's probably for the best, in perspective. Can't see why The Sun would publish it if it wasn't true, they have to have a source, don't they? I'm up for the Chris Powell return.

StarFox Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Really, really hope this isn't true. I don't think we would find much better and I think Sven has done a pretty good job.
Fox92 Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Dave Jones 241 defeats in 732 games as a manger. Promotion with Wolves and constantly reaching the play off's with Cardiff. He is better than some of the other options.
EnglishOxide Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 They better get the replacement right. Lee Clark Karl Robinson Ole Gunnar Solksjaer Billy Davies Dave Jones One of those five please. If we get someone like Bryan Robson I'll go to my local Tesco and defecate in the Thai Red Curries. Are you taking the piss? Three unproven managers. And Billy Davies? There is a reason no club will trust him with their money. And Dave Jones couldn't get Cardiff up. What are you smoking?
Stay Positive Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Absolute suicide if it's true. I was hoping/expecting a play-off position. I can't see us getting higher than mid-table now.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Lee Clark or Karl Robinson please, Top. Thought they'd have given Sven until the end of January, never the less, it's their investment and if they aren't seeing a return they think is adequate - perhaps they felt they needed to act.
Simmo86 Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Bryan Robson is the new man inbound. dont even go there!
Leicester Lass Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Thngs haven't been great recently, but the timing is completely bizarre to say the least. There are no obvious candidates who could come in and do any better in my opinion. A desperate decision by the Thais if true.
unreachable Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 If sacked then I'm happy with the decision. The style of football has not been entertaining. This will give time for the new manager to assess the squad before the Transfer Window - the owners want success this season.
Thracian Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 I love the way people talk about "one bad game". Despite the sort of backing most managers can only dream about, I'd say we were less of a team than when Pearson was here. We're like an engine everyone knows is misfiring but the fault seems to move with every attempt at diagnosis. Worst of all is that the basics haven't been attended too - they are just as weoful as they've been for years. Players are underperforming, the system used is uninspiring and we seem to be constantly playing with the brakes on. We can't carry on like this. There's just no evidence that the Thais are getting value for their investment. It's not just about results or the owners being impatient. If we were shaping up like an exciting, highly organised and always competitive football team I could stomach some bad results. But I really have seen enough of our version of "ambitious" this season. Coventry gave the perfect prelude despite the peculiar circumstances and there have been degrees of the same ever since. I'll not lament the departure of Sven or his coaching team. Whether it takes a bit longer or not I want to see us shaping up like a proper team.
Fox92 Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Are you taking the piss? Three unproven managers. And Billy Davies? There is a reason no club will trust him with their money. And Dave Jones couldn't get Cardiff up. What are you smoking? Well I agree with him. Robinson and Clark have done sensational at Mk Dons and Huddersfield. Billy Davies took Forest from the bottom regions of the league to the play offs. Dave Jones has a good managerial record, getting Wolves up and taking Cardiff to the play offs. I would take any of them.
stix Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Wasnt Robson the Thailand coach not so long ago? I hope this isnt true but the sun & daily mail are both running stories saying he has gone.
Guest MattP Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 To be fair at least that does get you out the division one way or the other!
Thracian Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Bryan Robson is the new man inbound. No, no, no.... and forget Dave Jones too!
Fox96 Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Here's a suggestion, Graham Westley! Took Stevenage from non-league to League 1? Win % of 51. Wouldn't mind him.
