bert has comented on here. says the meeting at the belfry didnt even happen. and still no contact..

Which means it's still possible, right? Right?!

This is the scenario I believe will happen....

Carlo Ancelotti will be appointed the new LCFC manager. Now that Gattuso only has one good eye, he'll be brought in as Ancelotti's pitbull player/coach to scare the sh!t out of the player so they pull their fingers out.....

Either that or we'll inexplicably appoint Ruud Gullit.

I believe thats pretty watertight

Haha! Why do people need bert to post that on twitter to realise it? More than one newspaper ruled MON out, and any leicester fan could tell you it will be a big 48 hours for the club. Deary me.

Surely if the owners are looking for a manager who 'knows the Championship', then said manager will almost instantly get the boot if we do reach the PL.

Thought about the next manager. Of course would love MON but two things wrong. One is I don't think he'll take it as we are in Championship. Two is I don't think you should ever go back and believe Martin will think same. He is a top manager and believe he will get a big Prem club next. I hope we will be one too in a few years time. Billy Davis is a good manager but I think, as mentioned earlier by someone he gets results from not so top players. He can improve a team but Leicester have so called good indivuals and I don't think the mix of ambitious,"believe we are better than this players" and Billy's style is a good combination. So that leaves me with Mark Hughes. I think our players would respect him as both a player who's done it at the top level and as a successful manager of Wales, Man C etc..

One name that i haven't seen mentioned yet........someone that would get 100% out of the players.......someone that the fans would be behind straight away.....someone that has passion for our club.........Neil Lennon anyone????

Curbishley completely fits the criteria, been out of management for a while but reckon he would still have it. Worked miracles at charlton and sustained them in the prem

We only can hope that in sacking a top quality manager, ex England manager, the board have a BETTER replacement in line otherwise we are ALL going to hell in a hand-cart and soon.Never mind being 2 points off the play offs give us a little uncertainity and further loss of form etc and we could very quickly be looking at the bottom four and back to the first division and or a relegation battle again with the premier a distant dream.

Appoint MON now and forget about ALL these so called other managers who have NO experience of the club/city and more importantly the fans.

We know what we want if you look deep enough ...MON anything else will be a shambles of inexperience or wishful thinking.

Please Please NOT Billy/Rams/Forest/Davis....Not Mclean Not Clarke Not The also rans who have been there and cocked it up Strachan ,Jones,Hughes,Benitez failures the lot of them.

O'Neil turned round Villa,..Turned round Celtic , and we all know what he did at City.

Forget never go back this is vital back the call for O'neil otherwise we are back to square one where we were with all the other flops Holloway,Megson,Worthington,Mcgee,Sousa,Allen etc etc lets get off the merrygo round and give us a chance of realising the potential even it will be only for a few years.

O'Neil Manager before the end of the weekend particularly if the West Ham result goes tits up.

His teams play too defensive, anyway he doesn't like going north of Watford. Since becoming a manager

Have I missed something here - Has Martin O Neill actually come out and said 'I don't want the Leicester job' Apart from the odd daily paper who have reported this other media such as , SSN, the BBC and other reliable sources have not quoted O Neill with this statement.

Outside of O'Neill there seems to be as many con's as there is pro's with all the names mentioned but it's odd that Lee Clark is getting loads of press & Chris Powell who is above Clark in the league isn't getting any. Sven himself said (for what it's worth) Powell will make a great manager one day, and his apprenticeship at Charlton is going just fine, couldn't really be better.

This isn't me nailing my flag to the wall, I still favour MoN (obviously) and can see the attraction of Di Matteo & Hughes along with the Championship achievements of Davies.

But surely he can be talked about in the same sentence as Lee Clarke & OGS

Is he a contender?

Hi LCFC fans

Crystal Palace fan here in peace and no troll or WUM, I and a couple of work colleagues know the Raks' through our work connections(casino's in London) obviously not read all the posts but we have it on very good authority that Roy Keane has been offered the job and Raks jnr is just waiting for him to confirm which is meant to be a formality, Raks jnr is a huge Man U fan and worshipped Keane.

Any thoughts?

I could understand the appointment purely because of getting promotion with Sunderland, but all these new club owners want instant success I couldn't see Keane being part of a 5 year plan it would be "get LC promoted" and then a bigger and better name would be coming in, TBH honest I did have a flutter this morning and got 25's with Ladbrokes.
