Ollie has been in management less than a year !!!

Why would anyone sack Sven and hire someone with less than 12 months experience in the Scandy leagues ?

Warming to the idea of Di Matteo - did a great job at MK Dons & WBA before he was harshly sacked.

I reckon there'll be loads of interest - it's a bloody good job (on paper).

Its a great job on paper - I think there will be alot of interest, they could probably get a very high profile manager. I would love to see 442 back , Di matteo has done very well, proven track record of success but for some reason I still dont think he is big enough for the Thais. They will prob want to make another statement.

Just had a text from a normally v. reliable source suggesting Robson is a very very strong link. Expect new man to be confirmed by Wednesday

Narh, rubbish.

I posted earlier saying it's a scary link but actually I have faith that our board are smarter than that and, furthermore, Bryan Robson's been seriously ill for a fair while with throat cancer.

I was never Billy Davies's biggest fan until I google trailed my way to this a few weeks ago - Link. I figure now's the time to get someone in who's going to get the players fit, playing for the shirt and knowing every detail about the opposition before they cross the white line.

Hope you're right!!

Di Matteo would be fantastic imo.

Definitely achievable, as he's only a number 2 at the moment. Plays great football, has shown he can get out of this division in the past, and would've learned a lot at Chelsea too, as well as gain contacts there if we can get him here: a possible chance of stringing a few decent Chelsea youngsters on loan as a parting gift?

Would love him here.

Could Kevin Keegan be tempted back into management?

I'd love it, just love it if we could get him!!

Good 10 years ago but not now. Buckles under first sign of pressure which is exactly what you can't do as LCFC manager!

I reckon Top will go all out to get O'Neil back in the club, They have someone in mind, make no mistake

Doubt they will taking a punt on Lee Clarke, they will be going for experience imo, MON,Billy Davies, and lastly Dave Jones are the only contenders in my eyes

Its a massive, MASSIVE, ridiculous long shot but Carlo Ancelotti is one of the only names that fill me with any enthusiasm.

I'd love MON but I don't even want to risk tarnishing the amazing memories I have of him.

It wont be Dave Jones...he's failed too many times at promotion

I can see either Billy Davies or Di Matteo

Oneil will not return, he's said himself he's holding out for a top prem club.

It's a much changed job since Pearson was last here. The expectation is much different and bigger. I don't think he'd do nearly as well.

Posted

Not Dave Jones :nono:

He's not a bad manager but he failed to take Cardiff up and I really think we need an inspirational figure to get the best out of this squad and he ain't it !

Posted

Long shot, and will probably not be able to tempt him out of his current job...

but Gus Poyet? Money talks, and would be what we need.
