If Top and co. really mean business they should be all over Benitez and Ancelotti like a rash.

Neither are doing anything at the moment, and Benitez particularly has little to lose. Tempt them in with a £3 million for promotion and Bob's your mother's brother.

O'Neill would be great too. I have only properly supported City since 2003-4ish (the "good times", as they are commonly known), so followed the O'Neill years from afar. It wouldn't mean the same to me as others on here, but it would give the whole club a lift, and I have always admired M O'N.

1.Lee Clark - Fantastic record at Hudderfield, great manager and probably the next big thing in football management.

2.Martin O'Neill - Everyone loves him at the club, he did wonders and wherever he has been he has done a great job, but also doubt a comeback though.

3.Carlo Ancelotti - We can wish can't we, if this happened I would actually kiss every inch of Top's body.

4.Mark Hughes - Premier League experience could be a vital asset, he hasn't done too bad at the clubs he's been at.

5.Simon Grayson - Been linked all the time, but a person who I would love to see in charge, keeps getting better and better.

Just give the job to some random foreigner so that when he performs poorly we can then go ahead and sack him because "he doesn't understand the league well enough".

People said Sven didn't know the Championship well, Ferguson has been there for two seasons before this one and was sacked before each the club was relegated.

No objection to Clark or MON but I'd be fascinated to see Ole Gunnar Solksjaer get the job. Attacker, brilliant record as a winner, managerial experience, an excellent ambassador for the game ..... and a guy so many people respect.

Some typical Leicester Fan solutions in here - Nigel Pearson ? Are you for real ? Yes he did a very good job with a budget , its been said before but we completely over achieved that season in the play offs. Im not saying we didnt deserve it but I dont think we could have moved on from that, the Champo is way more competitive now. The football under Pearson was crap , I remember many shit days down the Walkers under him.

Im actually disappointed Sven has gone - I understand people were not happy and the results havent been great , I thought he should have had more time. Maybe im a sucker because I like the bloke, he is a very well respected man and in todays game its quite rare to have such a gentleman. I wish him well..

The names im seeing thrown around now are not really getting me excited and make me think even more that we should have stuck with Sven for a bit longer, I think he was close to assembling a strong team.

The bookies have some stupid people in the top 6 - Rafa Benitz / Carlo Ancelotti ? If Sven couldnt do it neither can these , to much of a similar European mentality. If I was going to have a foreign manager I would want Sven..If we are going domestic then I really dont know - O'Neil would be a good buzz but could this really happen. I would say the board would like this to buy immediate popularity with the fans...........

Billy Davies - A good manager but hes not high profile enough for the Thai and personally he would get my vote.....I wouldnt mind Grayson but prob because he's a blast from the past too.

Im lost on this - I dont want to join the bandwagon but I cant see past O'Neil , he does have so much to loose and so do the fans if he comes back..Yes I would love it but can anyone tell me what the fans would be doing if we finish mid table with him ? O'Neil out ????

Infact I remember his first spell and all the O'Neil out signs down Filbert St before he famously turned it around...

What are that facts on O'Neil here ? Yes he holds my own memorable moments but that was then , he was fantastic at spotting talent and turning them into stars at the time..That Leicester team did not play pretty football, but we grinded out results. I think he could get us up and do a job but I also think Sven could...I think Sven might have took a bit longer getting us up but he would have us hit the ground running in the Premiership.

I think we have played good football this year, I have enjoyed watching some of it - We just didnt get out of first gear on some occasions and we got punished for it....

Although im upset Sven has gone there is always a great buzz when looking for a new manager , I just hope its a good choice.
