O'Neill has been mentioned and fan favourite after EVERY mangerial departure more or less since he left. Most of me is screaming no way is this going to happen. Why would Martin even entertain the idea of coming back other than nostalgia, and perhaps money. OK, money, so there is a chance... but I still can't see it happening.

That said, the owners will want a big name, so if it's not O'Neill who will it be.

Can't see it being Billy.

Carlo would be a massive coup, but seriously, to Leicester? Who are we kidding?

Didnt people say that about Sven before he arrived

Whoever we get in next has to be bigger than Sven, or someone with a history with Leicester, it's the only way the owners are going to win the fans over after this.

The best man to get us up would be Colin willy puller but its not going to happen.

I wish you lot would get over MON and move on. His time here was at a different time in English football. Very few foreign players let alone owners. Less money in football. Could he really cut it today?

Martin O'Neil - Can easily walk into the job, only person to get the best out of the current players.

Mark Hughes - Yes please. He will jump ship when the next job comes around though.

Di Matteo - Unlucky to get the sack. Good styles of play, would not be disappointed

Zola - Unlucky to get the sack. Would not be disappointed

Lee Clark - Would not be disappointed if he was the manager. Similar to Paul Lambert

Chris Powell - Don’t think he will leave Charlton, the guys a legend there.

Simon Grayson - Is not going to leave Leeds. He supported the team as a boy, and despite what others may say on this board, they have a bigger brand.

Curbishley - You can say bye bye to Konchesky because they just do not get along.

Dont care about others.

Billy Davies - Why his names keeps cropping up, i don’t know. Derby and Forest had a similar setup to Leicester currently. We need to look for a manager that can not only take us up, but keep us there.

I'll be the one to say it.

MO'N doesn't exactly have the offers building up, or if he does he doesn't fancy them. I get the impression he trod on a few toes towards the end at Villa Park and that could be why a big club hasn't seen fit to bring him in.

Perhaps then, he'd be well-served taking on a short term contract here. We have the squad and the talent to do well in this league, he would walk into a club where he is already revered, and would alert the attention of bigger clubs with a job well done. It's hard to see him failing here, especially with the backroom staff he insists on bringing with him. Notable that Sven's backroom staff have left with him by the way. Even heroic failure to win promotion would put him well and truly back on the market.

Well looking at the votes it say;s to me MoN to walk it.

Anyone else gets the job they gotta win the first 10 games 6-0.

Anything less they are a shit manager and not good enough for us.

Do they know who we are????????

Martin O Neill.............Don`t think he`d come. Could he improve on 1st time around? Why potentially spoil the memory.

Nigel Worthington..... No. Done nothing

Mark Hughes............Overated. But I think he`d take the oppourtunity

Billy Davies...............Proven at getting clubs out of this league. Would not stand for the lacklustre of the players.

Carlo Ancelotti.......... No. he wouldn`t take it or has sufficient knowledge of the championship.

Alan Curbishley........Why has he been out of a position for so long. He must have had offers.

Chris Powell.............Good coach. Unproven as a mananger. a risk.

Gary McAllister........No.

Simon Grayson........Done ok at Leeds but not sure

Dave Jones..............Proven at this level.

Mark Robins.............No

other

Ole Gunnar Solksjaer..No.He has no experience

Roberto Di Matteo....No

Lee Clark.................Possible but big step up when owners epect the Prem.

Roy Keane...............Absolutely no. Yes he would knock heads but definately no.

Euro 2004 hero Theo Zagorakis... No

Rafa Benitez............ No. 1 game apart he ruined Liverpool.

Nigel Pearson.......... No

Didier Deschamps... No. Knowledge of this league- zero.

So based on my own assessments of the choices provided Billy Davies or Dave Jones. But neither really inspire me that much.

Can`t think of an alternative to names suggested.

Other names suggested by the press / bookies are all a `No` - Shearer, Hoddle, Lennon, Walsh

Surprised by the support for Billy Davies.

Would everyone really be happy with replacing Sven with him? Someone who failed to get Forest up, got Derby up but failed miserably once up. I'm not saying he's a bad manager, but hardly a proven name that will appease the Sven fans, surely?

For the first time in 20 years I actually don't give a **** who comes in. I'm sick of this. I know as a club we are in a very fortunate position with the supposed wealth but part of me as a Leicester fan snuffed it last night. Along with part of me when Pearson was nudged out, it's becoming boring. I don't get excited by the prospect of another new manager, another 15 players and 1500 speculation threads with 13 year old mongols posting their fantasy lists.

So we'll appoint a new chap, we'll win a few games and we'll all be calling him a LAD and proclaiming to be having a tug all the while. Some loan signings will follow and we'll all be singing their praises and thinking what the future holds, then we'll start to stumble and we'll grumble that this season has been a waste. Then after another skin crawling pre-season of drivel being written on this forum about comings and goings, we'll flop again and we'll be right here, right now, doing this all again. Phil, Phil Connors?

If someone could share with me anything worthy of respect Roy Keene has done in management,... i'd really like to know..

Chirs Powell would be worth a gamble I think. Knows the division up and coming and always did alright for us.

Obviously we'll end up with someone like Benetiz or Carlo who doesn't know the first thing about Championship football.
