bluebeau Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Obviously Sven isn't short of a few quid & he will not suffer financially, but I am sad to see him go. I like the guy, he seemed totally committed to City. The players that he brought to the club & put his trust in have let him down big time. Not all of them admittedly, but I hope that Beckford can look in the mirror next time he has a shave. He isn't a Leicester City player, he doesn't look the slightest bit interested in playing for us. Wellens & King should have guilty consciences also, f--k--g useless in recent games. I thought the previous owner, Milan Mandaric was ruthless, but the Thais make him look like Santa Claus!
Guest ttfn Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 A decent and honourable man. I'll miss him. A thousand +1s. So, er, +1000 then.
Guest ttfn Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 you prat if king power pull out because the fans we are up the creek with no paddle and lcfc will be no more. get behind them because sven had the money and we are lying in 13th place 2 points off the playoffs. with the amount of money he spent we should have been like qpr last season not 13th Right. So just because King Power have ladened us with debt, we should go along with everything they say in case they pull out because we've upset them? Is this what the world has come to?
Corky Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 For all this mercenary stuff that surrounds Sven I think he actually wanted to do well here and be a success, not just have the money.
Guest MattP Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Right. So just because King Power have ladened us with debt, we should go along with everything they say in case they pull out because we've upset them? Is this what the world has come to? That's the modern football fan for you. Anyone dared say a word agaisnt KP and you were slated as an anti, told to shut up and "enjoy the ride" This money better be coming from them and not being ran up as debt.
BlueSi13 Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Things I picked up from outside the ground. Sven left the ground at 6.50pm, just as I arrived. Top lift 5 minutes later to a small chorus of boos. There were about 15 Leicester fans outside the ground. Fans were calling for O'Neill. Stringer's adamant no one is lined up as of yet. Sven shed a tear or two on his exit. You can catch my interview in the Merc tomorrow. This doesn't feel right at all, i feel the man deserved far better than this. It was clear that he truly cared about this club and the project to make us an established Premier League outfit again. Im sure he was never made to feel more welcome than he was here, just looking at the club shop reveals that. This will probably be his last job in football and he was settled and happy here. He probably feels a little betrayed by Vichai right now. At the end of the day we are 2 points away from a playoff spot....its a bad decision that i fear will become a lot worse at the end of the season. Goodbye Sven, ill never forget the day i bumped into you at Vision Express

Of course its being ran up as debt, Vichai has a net worth of around £110m, basically the same as Mandaric, nowhere near enough to run a football club of this size out of his own pocket. They have gambled this clubs entire future on us getting promoted asap, can't believe any fan would believe any different.

We'll find out in February when the club accounts should be released.
ACF Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 It is understood that Eriksson was so upset after Saturday's performance that he called an emergency meeting with the Leicester players on Monday morning and told them that he was fortunate to still be in a job. He divided the players into three separate groups and asked them to write down why they thought things were going so badly wrong. The defeat against Millwall was Leicester's third at home in seven league matches, and the Swede had become increasingly frustrated with the team's failure to find any consistency. Link. Oh Sven!

The players have really got to take some of the flack for this, the tactics were lacking due to the lack of genuine width, but we had more than enough quality to overcome. Losing Pearson was a chocker but this feels like we've mugged someone.

I don't think they're taking money directly out of their own pockets, its coming out of King Power itself as we're practically their marketing tool, hence why they put Susan Whelan on the board.
LCFC_Kraken Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 I think we all will miss sven, lets hope he comes onto foxes talk!

Vichai is CEO of KP so wouldn't have the company included in his personal wealth, making that irrelevant. The way the clubs owned they would likely be liable for any problems occur so could jeopardise their future aswell as ours. Wish people would get out of svens arse and stick with the owners. They wouldnt spend the money on the training ground if they werent commited and able. Move on people, if we end up promoted at the end of the season , I hope to see none of you celebrating but still crying over your whiskey cos svennis wasnt there to see it. Its ludicrous that some will give up if it isnt O'Neill
yorkie1999 Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Still feels a bit like we've sold our souls to the devil for a few bahts though doesn't it
Donut Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 For gods sake this is pathetic, booing the owners and all these ridiculous posts People were happy with mediocrity, happy to take 2 wins from every 6 games, happy to show no ambition away from home The owners who plow millions into the club dont want all this crap they want to go up, and you BOO them and SUPPORT the man who as giving you mediocrity, boredom and failure What planet are half of you lot on. Bum him all the way to the airport. Go on, quote me and slag me off, i dont care. Your mindsets are fvcked.

Corky Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 I don't agree with their decision but turning on the owners will do no good at all. They've put their money up and if they feel that it's not going as well as it should then they've got a right to make changes. I hope they've made a change for the good of the club.

The Doctor Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 It seems there are certain high and mighty fans - those who have no time for anti-Sven people and detest boo boys, are perfectly OK with booing the man who's put so much money into us, or are OK condoning it at least. I'm not saying he's a saint, but he doesn't deserve that abuse. Really, because the only poster I've seen have a go at Top is DT - and history has told us he's a pretty massive **** and just posts for a reaction. I've got a certain deal of respect for the chaps in charge, they've done more right than wrong but, just as the Sven-haters were fine to critise him, so should those not happy with this be allowed to critise Top and co.

Captain... Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Still feels a bit like we've sold our souls to the devil for a few bahts though doesn't it That happened when Mandaric bought us, whilst the Thai owners may not be everyone's first choice it could be and has been worse. As always with football you never quite get the full story so lets just hope the new man (or woman, what's Hope Powell up to these days? that would be high profile) gets the team playing to their potential.
