DorsetFox9 Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Martin O Neil - Suspended Betting on all but 2 sites on oddschecker, both offering poor odds.
Benji Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Just means loads of people have bet on it, doesn't it?
DorsetFox9 Posted 24 October 2011 Author Posted 24 October 2011 No. they are not taking bets on ANY manager. they have closed their Leicester Specials area.
martyn Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 The trader has probably knocked off for the evening.
Libertine Dream Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Normally its a massive indicator, if they want to discourage betting theyd put it at 1-10 or something like that. The bookies normally have knowledge and they did the same with sousa before he was appointed. Once its died down a bit theyll probably re open it though
Guest ttfn Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Perhaps they were the only 2 sites ever taking bets on it?
Trav Le Bleu Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 MaynardWillBeAFox making predictions about who's coming to Leicester?
DorsetFox9 Posted 24 October 2011 Author Posted 24 October 2011 there were 8 sites taking the bets earlier.
Adster Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Shouldn't you have changed your name by now? Or are you still convinced Maynard will become a fox?
Jace Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 If we see a new user in a min called Oneillwillbeafoxagain at least we will know who it is
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Zola please! Hughes odds have come in too - I expect most bookies have taken a rash of bets on O'neil and will be checking whether anything is in it before reopening the market. Clearly at least 2 bookies don't think its a done deal.
m00nie Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 skybets still taking bets.. odds change as more money is placed on a person, dont mean any things happening..

Sods Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Got my 100,000 down on time... The odds went down because of a high bet, £100,000? clear off, no betting company would take that.
ramboacdc Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 The odds went down because of a high bet, £100,000? clear off, no betting company would take that. they would i think. well..some would and some wouldnt. i definatly would have taken it. i know ladbrokes had a £100 max though as its a market that can be exploited through insider info.
Ricey Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/leicester-specials/next-permanent-manager Looks to me as if bets haven't been suspended, they just aren't available on those other sites.
ramboacdc Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 Looks to me as if bets haven't been suspended, they just aren't available on those other sites. the first places that had it up were skybet and hills. hence why i ran to hills for some decent prices. soon after boyles, jarvis and sbo joined in with paddy and coral later in the evening. by the time i finished work its down to two trading. something has spooked them.
m00nie Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 The odds went down because of a high bet, £100,000? clear off, no betting company would take that. at evens thats £100,000 pay out. ladbrookes is £250,000 max payout coral £100,000,
ramboacdc Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 at evens thats £100,000 pay out. ladbrookes is £250,000 max payout coral £100,000, where you got that from? i worked for coral and i know the max payout is bigger than that! but coral will limit a reality market to £25 max stake.
m00nie Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 where you got that from? i worked for coral and i know the max payout is bigger than that! but coral will limit a reality market to £25 max stake. What is the maximum payout with for Coral Betting? The maximum payout for all bets placed with Coral.co.uk will be £100,000 except for on greyhound racing which will have a maximum payout of £10,000. http://www.betrescue.com/bookmakers/coral/
Tielemans63 Posted 24 October 2011 Posted 24 October 2011 The odds went down because of a high bet, £100,000? clear off, no betting company would take that. They would - I worked for Hills for 4 years and took bigger bets than that. It does take a long time for those bets to be authorised though as I'm sure u can imagine. Biggest bet I ever took was for £200k and guess what it was.....................................France to beat Senegal at the 2002 World Cup! Some clever fooker thought he'd make a quick £20k at some stupid odds. It sounds like a load of bollocks but I swear on my life that's true. Me and the other lads on the phones were pissing ourselves when they lost.
