Sacking Sven for no one the dumbest move in football history - and they had to pay him a ,million quid - might as well have hung on to him until someone else actually showed some interest in coming to us. Top's ****ed it up!!

Just so I'm prepared, are you going to be gracing us with these posts for the rest of the season, for the whole of the new manager's tenure, for the rest of time?

Why would anyone show an interest in a managerial post that's currently filled, and why would Leicester put feelers out for new managers when they have one in place, and why would Sven hang around in the knowledge his employers are looking for his replacement before he's even left the seat let alone let it get cold?

You have very odd ideas about how a football is run or should be run.

Maybe they owed it Sven, not to go behind back talking to other managers while he was still here....

Seriously dumbest quote ever - so they don't spend three months without a manager or end up appointing a desperate also ran because they can't get any one good, because they didn't put the feelers out before sacking the current manager like all proper teams do - dur - why is this odd?

Just this season - unless we appoint MoN then I promise I'll believe someone at the club knows what is going on and how to run a football club and I'll shut up (not really)

Put the club first - you're going to sack him, don't bring feelings in to it!!!

You have very odd ideas if you think it's any other way.

He's not your dad then

I think after Sousa, Megson, Holloway, et al he was the best we had seen for a quite some time - Pearson was OK (but blew it in the play offs) but Mandaric didn't like him so he had no chance long term. We keep sacking managers and getting nowhere and I believe we should have given him more than 13 games this year with a brand new team to get it right - Top is an idiot brat who has dropped the ball here and without being able to ring the club up and tell him to his face (wouldn't take my call) this is the best forum (it is a forum) to rant about one of the crappest decisions (alongside letting Nige go, not hanging on to MoN the first time, appointing Peter Taylor, appointing Frank McLintock, playing Birmingham on the frozen pitch in the 70"s and losing 6-2 and being the only game on MotD and buying Dennis Wise) that the club I was made to support by my Grandad and by accident of birth (and who I love - still - unbelievably) has ever made!

You seriously think Sven was doing a better job than Pearson did lol

And blew it in the play-offs isn't fair, the officials cost us the tie.

At the moment it sounds like the jobs for the taking, I still think MON is still on the list. So over next few days it's going to be Billy Davies, Ian Dowie, Dave Jones, Dougie Freedman or Martin O'Neill. I would say Lee Clark's is out of the running.

Surely if MON was definitely not interested he would have come straight out and ruled himself out? He's pretty straight down the line and wouldn't want to fuck the fans about so maybe silence is golden?

I'd be a little surprised if at the very least he didn't have an informal chat with the owners just to see how the land lies. The papers ruling him out has zero substance without quotes and (unless i've missed something) there haven't been any from the man himself?

A longshot, but still a possibility.

Sob - Pearson blew it at home and then played a dolt in the second leg who screwed his penalty - managers are judged by results and Pearson failed - like it or not. Sven's points to games ratio was in the same bracket as Pearsons but his team has only played 13 games, around quarter of a season - too early to sack him. Yes I think he was doing a better job - defence was looking good (4 goals leaked from open play in 8 games, most of those while Mills was off/suspended) and Nugent seeming to score regularly when fit. Best keeper in about 10 years (no one, surely, can argue with this) and a 4-0 drubbing of Derby 3 weeks ago - a lot of what Nige did was in the 3rd division and he did well for us - if we'd kept him we'd be up but we replaced him with Sousa who had us bottom of the league and going back down - please tell me you didn't think Sousa was better than Sven as well???

Our fans need to properly go for it tomorrow and chant the man's name to the point where the FL Show and reporters know about it and mention it.

Really?

He loves the attention.

He wants to see the placards tomorrow and hear the chants... then he'll want the owners to double his money.

Its MON's way or the high way and MON's way usually involves massaging his own ego.

Still want him here though.

If your manager won 9 games from 27 since feb last season would you be happy?

Yes, by saying 'he wouldn't want to fuck the fans about' I meant if he really wasn't interested he would come out and say so.. If he is, i'm sure he'll milk it for all its worth. :D

Yeh, because he made clear he wasn't interested in the Northern Ireland job not so long ago, but he actually came out. This time round, the story of him rejecting the leicester job seems to come out of nowhere.

I've managed to convince myself its just MON's way of doing things and that he will end up as our manager.

I'm setting myself up for a fall when we unveil Strachan or Dowie.

Thing is, there's bound to be God knows how many names linked via the media. I find it funny to see people getting their knickers in a twist every time a name is mentioned when there is zero substance in it.

As far as i'm aware there is absolutely nothing concrete regarding any 'approach' so the 'OMG not Dowie, Freedman etc' is more than a little premature.

I'm sure our owners know exactly what they're doing and Sousa (and Sven?) were just minor misjudgements.

No he didn't fail, finishing 5th was above expectations. The players who missed the penalties were subs. Admittedly he got his tactics wrong in the first place, yet we probably still would have won had the referee done his job properly and given 2 stone wall penalties. Similarly in the second leg which we bossed from 25 minutes in onwards, we were again robbed by a couple of massive decisions.

Well done for picking out a couple of good things about Sven amongst the piles of shit things. Defence was looking good yes, his problem was he relied on it to get results and it backfired. Guess what? Pearson's defence was solid too. Nugent scored a few, imagine how many he could have had already if he'd had some decent service? And Beckford too? And Vassell, he's shown he can hit a barn door, Oh no wait he hasn't. What about our negative tactics? Our lack of discipline? Our lack of team spirit? Failure to get the most out of a talented squad?

I'm not going to continue. Sorry but if you think Sven was doing a better job than Pearson you are insane, end of.
