Finnegan Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 The stories in just about every newspaper going seemed to make it pretty obvious O'Neill had ruled himself out. Was he actually QUOTED or heard saying he wasn't interested last time? Or in any other job? Don't lots of agents release stories like this through the tabloids. I can understand hope but are people not just being delusional at this stage?
Leicesterpool Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 At the moment it's time for the owners come out & say a few words, because a week without manager is a very long time.
Fox1651 Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 But it's not a Maynard thread?!?!?!? It's the messiah....GOD reincarnated thread....the thread of all threads..........this is what Top should say to O'Neill.... "Help me Martin O'Neill....you're my only hope" Superb
dannythefox Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 It's unlikely, I don't think it'll happen, but the circumstances are different. Until he says he is not interested himself, which he did every other time, then he cant be completely ruled out of returning. This.

Schlupp Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 We don't know perhaps Claridge is after a coaching role at Leicester. We would be ****ed.

Happy Fox Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 MON is waiting on the Blackburn job Wrong decision MON we are better position than them regardless of whether they are in the prem.
Jace Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 Wrong decision MON we are better position than them regardless of whether they are in the prem. are we?
Happy Fox Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 are we? Venkys or Thais? Relegation dog scrap, he could do so much better with us imo.
Libertine Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 Venkys or Thais? Relegation dog strap, he could do so much better with us imo. But he's already done the exact same job we need him to do here. Blackburn are a shitty club though, don't get me wrong. He's better than them.
Matt Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 Wrong decision MON we are better position than them regardless of whether they are in the prem. I see where you are coming from. He could do ALOT better than Blackburn. Obviously he could do alot better than Leicester but we can still hope.
Happy Fox Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 But he's already done the exact same job we need him to do here. Blackburn are a shitty club though, don't get me wrong. He's better than them. It just seems odd to me that is all why he would want to go to Blackburn, fair enough if he wants the Sunderland job, but we are a far better prospect than Blackburn imo.
Leicesterpool Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 MON is waiting on the Blackburn job Do think he would really not much ambition there, he likes going to clubs that have bright future ahead of them, blackburn as nothing. They may have new owners there but they seem reluctant to spent cash.
Happy Fox Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 I am so pissed off that MON would even contemplate the thought of going to Blackburn it just makes me oh well such is life.
flowwolf Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 Maybe he knows something about our owners that he doesn't like? ;) ;)
Happy Fox Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 Maybe he knows something about our owners that he doesn't like? ;) ;) Well then that begs the question why our owners didn't conform to what he wanted, or perhaps they gave the wrong impression to MON?
escos Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 Blackburn would suit him down to the ground. He may have done well for us,very well, but the mans ego is huge! If he keeps Blackburn up he's a hero, if they go down then everyone expected them to. It's win win! If he comes here it's a lot more clear cut, promoted = hero, not promoted= failure.
