Saxondale Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 Aren't we all? We need something to do whilst we're sitting at the computer waiting for important news. Yes, but at least we're honest about it!
Trav Le Bleu Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! To which ever mod deleted my thread. If the plebs who think this is truly think this is going to happen can't be mocked then it's a poor show!
BlueBlue Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 Money talks, and we have it. When was money the single thing that motivated MON?
Houdini Logic Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 I cant do that at work tho Where's your sense of adventure?

fox in the sox Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 My theory is that MON half ruled himself out to fool people into thinking it wont be him. He then agreed to hold talks as long as everytihng was kept completely quiet - this is why we have heard nothing from the club for a week. Knowing MON he will want lots of terms and conditions sorted - this is the reason for the long delay. Am i dreaming or could there be some truth in this?

This plus the odds at ladbrokes have just gone from 20 to 10/1!

Guest shearfox Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 O'Neill to be announced during the Leeds game, would make for a good atmosphere... We can dream
Happy Fox Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=77247&st=1020 The club are trying to get Martin O’Neill or Ole Gunnar Solksjaer to manage city. MON is the favourite, and MON has agreed to come back, but as he wants to be available for other opportunities ( I guess England & Man U) so he will only agree if he has a option to leave at any time. The club are concerned about this and would like a contract that quantifies the reasons that may cause MON to leave. MON is not willing to specify the details. So, they are at a dead lock but still negotiating. Option 2) The club are therefore trying to get OGS to join, but he is happy where he is and he is not convinced that city will be promoted this season he does not want to leave a club where he is successful to one that may lead to a sacking. The club can not guarantee this will not happen so they are also at dead lock. The club are putting together a very good offer and working on the contracts with agents to try and get around the issues and tempt one of the two to join city. The club is also talking to other potential managers but as all discussions are confidential no statments will be made untill contracts have been finalised and then the club will make an announcement. prefably this will be at the Leeds match, untill then ignore all rumours.

Very optimistic I know but we have to be!! Im sure everyone was surprised when Sven got the job, hopefully they can shock us again!! PLEASSSSSSEEEEEE BE TRUE!!

Knowing MON he will want lots of terms and conditions sorted - this is the reason for the long delay. Am i dreaming or could there be some truth in this? Could be something in this. -Don't believe we have approached any clubs as something would have come out by now. -If it is an out of work manager they would likely be in post by now. Only plausible reason why not is if there have been demands made which need consideration. I don't think anyone other then O'neill would be able to make such demands without the owners moving onto the next candidate. If there was an emoticon which had some face clutching at straws I would have signed off with it.
ARM1968 Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 Who flies from London to EMA? Anyone who can afford it and has experience of navigating the M1 on a regular basis. MON's odds are coming in because he is the one - if Top and Co can agree to his demands

m00nie Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 step said some interesting thinks in the Next Leicester City thread look how many bases he has covered in that... MON/ OGS and even added they are talking to others also.. so obvioulsy one of them is right as they are going to be talking to some as there is a job vacancy... he can then claim he got it right.... its like me saying sir alex ferguson has held talks and is interested but needs conditions met, they are trying to agree them , they are also speaking to a few other but its all to be kept secret atm in case they work it out with SAF... if not they will anounce the manager..

Wink Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 Sounds plausible that MON is the first choice and they working hard to try and come to an agreement I do think there could be some truth in steps post too... He will want an option to get out of his contract if a job he wanted comes up, I think thats to be expected of course! I think we'd all take that though right now!!

So what about if he took the job, then 2 weeks later the sunderland job comes up, he would leave?? That's cuntish really, can't see the owners having that
