dannythefox Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 Think he was tryna suggest o'neill flew from Spain to east midlands... Never! Read the forum it already been said!
Bangbangboom Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 So what about if he took the job, then 2 weeks later the sunderland job comes up, he would leave?? That's cuntish really, can't see the owners having that Yer, I wouldn't want that either.......new person has to have commitment! Plus I think I'd cry if MON came back and then left in januarym
m00nie Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 MON gone from 25/1 - 16/1 In last hour with LC apparently ruling himself out people will bet elsewhere hence MON odds coming back down.. dont mean hes coming... remember MON was 1/5 on to start with.. drifted out.. LC went to 1/4 on.. its just where the money goes..
Wink Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 So what about if he took the job, then 2 weeks later the sunderland job comes up, he would leave?? That's cuntish really, can't see the owners having that I'm not too sure he is after the Sunderland job though is he? Seem like an England or Man Utd type job IMO! My point was, he has an option to leave if a huge job came up... It's not really that uncommon these days, and negiotations are hopefully on going to agree those terms! I'm not saying we should lie on our back and ask us to spank us whenever he wishes!! Just because he can... I have faith the owners would agree something that is acceptable for both parties, we want MON back and he wants a way out IF a particular job came up??

Lambert09 Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 OGS is second favourite to succeed sir alex ferguson as well aha whoever we get might not last long if they do well or bad
artursteppe Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 There is only the possible sacking of Steve Bruce that could potentially see MO'N go elsewhere, before the new England and/or Spurs managers are decided upon. Other than Sunderland there are no other teams in the bottom half of the table he would go to, and other than Spurs I can't see any top team wanting him.
terry2simmo Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=77247&st=1020 The club are trying to get Martin O’Neill or Ole Gunnar Solksjaer to manage city. MON is the favourite, and MON has agreed to come back, but as he wants to be available for other opportunities ( I guess England & Man U) so he will only agree if he has a option to leave at any time. The club are concerned about this and would like a contract that quantifies the reasons that may cause MON to leave. MON is not willing to specify the details. So, they are at a dead lock but still negotiating. Option 2) The club are therefore trying to get OGS to join, but he is happy where he is and he is not convinced that city will be promoted this season he does not want to leave a club where he is successful to one that may lead to a sacking. The club can not guarantee this will not happen so they are also at dead lock. The club are putting together a very good offer and working on the contracts with agents to try and get around the issues and tempt one of the two to join city. The club is also talking to other potential managers but as all discussions are confidential no statments will be made untill contracts have been finalised and then the club will make an announcement. prefably this will be at the Leeds match, untill then ignore all rumours. http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=77247&st=1020 The club are trying to get Martin O’Neill or Ole Gunnar Solksjaer to manage city. terry2simmo Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 Pure supposition. You are gussing. Just like the ret of us.
terry2simmo Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 Pure Supposition! You are guessing just like the rest of us.
ARM1968 Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 Don't think MON would get the Man Utd job anyway!
Ric Flair Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 I do think there could be some truth in steps post too... He will want an option to get out of his contract if a job he wanted comes up, I think thats to be expected of course! I think we'd all take that though right now!! There would be absolutely nothing stopping O'Neill leaving anyway. We's just receive compensation and if he only signed a 6-18 month contract it would be a pittance. That won't be a sticking point if this was even remotely true.
whitlock Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 Fourth Official on twitter, reckons its Hughes..
ARM1968 Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 If he comes it will only be until the end of the season. At that point he will initiate his usual 1 year rolling contract unless he decides to leave. That's the way it will be.
ARM1968 Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 Hughes is the backup plan. But don't polish your spark plugs yet!
l444ry Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 Interesting! O'Neill odds starting to shorten with most Bookmakers.
Happy Fox Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 Fourth_Official Fourth Official @ @aidbyrne they also want a "name" That leaves out Pearson, Billy Davies etc so it has to be either one of MON, Hughes, or OGS
Babylon Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 Interesting! O'Neill odds starting to shorten with most Bookmakers. NP's odds have come in a lot.
whitlock Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 Pathetic they want a name. They should want a manager to lead us to the Prem. Plainly obvious the Thais are PURELY interested in making money. Nothing here is football related IMO. Pull their heads out the skies and make the right decisions for LCFC no King ****ing Power.

Of course it is football related they want to take our club to the prem.
l444ry Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 NP's odds have come in a lot. Wish Betfair had run a market. Would have made a mint.
ARM1968 Posted 3 November 2011 Posted 3 November 2011 Cannot see it being OGS. I'm not averse to him - always rated the guy. He just does not tick all of the Thai's boxes.
