somebum Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Another lacklustre display by Beckford today, are we being too harsh on him so soon? The guy just doesn't seem interested, as though he is just picking up his money every week. I always thought that Moyes cannot buy a striker, he has been through some useless forwards, most of them lazy such as Saha, Yak and Beckford. Did we buy Everton's bad rubbish?
ARM1968 Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Beckford is our player, a quality striker but a huge nob!! A lot of good players have been and are huge pricks. If someone gets him going and he starts scoring all will be forgiven. Right now though he's about as useful as a used tampax!!!
KFS Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 There was an incident as he came off. Classic Leicester fans chanting against him when he came off. Granted, he did play a very poor game, but it clearly made him angry as he came off. Interesting to see what happens next..
Jay Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 don't think he has broken sweat for Leicester, doesn't look commited, clearly seems like he doesn't want to be at the club saying that he's far better than he is showing just seems like he's a massive bellend.
bluebeau Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Agreed. I don't like him I've said all along that he isn't a Leicester player. He doesn't lppk committed, he's lazy & unless something drastic happens regarding his attitude, he has no future at our football club. I hope he will not be selected for our next game against Burnley. I wouldn't even have him on the bench, bring Schlupp back into the reckoning.

FoxTrott Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 8 games. 8 ****ing games. The guy has literally just got here, the management has changed and we have 5/6 new players in a squad. I cannot fathom why people are so hasty to jump the gun, it's just tasteless. It puts so much pressure which definitely shows on the pitch. LOLOLOLOL SCORED WUN IN EEEIGHT. DONT LIKE HIM. He's not employed to be liked, he's employed to score goals. And I really don't know what you mean by "he's lazy" when he's barely had a chance to run the past 8 games because the creative capacity has not been there from the midfield. Some of the threads on this board are just utter spew, think before you post.
somebum Posted 29 October 2011 Author Posted 29 October 2011 Yeah, fair play the guy needs time to settle down. I don't think people are doubting his ability (yet), but rather, his work ethic. I guess if you are being paid so much cash you could at least put the effort in. He seems to be here on holiday.

Simon grayson in the woodies last week said he's a loner and dosnt get on with other players
ian the fox Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Can see him getting some stick before too much longer , Leicester fans demand 100 % , always have , he shouldnt under estimate the anger we can inflict on time wasters Over to you Jermaine
Mike the Metal Ed Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 Leicester fans in being quick to judge SHOCKER. He's here for however long his contract runs or until he's sold, so let's wait to see if we can get the best out of him. Especially with a new management team on the way.

I think it was probably more to do with the fact that Sven sold him the dream and persuaded him to drop down a division and has now been sacked. Probably feeling a bit shell shocked by it all... Bad player? No. Disillusioned? Abbsolutely.

AKCJ Posted 29 October 2011 Posted 29 October 2011 'Weak people feel pressure' What a load of bollocks. Someone said that it wasn't weak people who felt pressure, but only those who are passionate. If being passionate is weak then he can jog on as far as i'm concerned.

Matt Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 Yak > Beckford. But I forgot the Yak doesn't do anything, apart from score
Tielemans63 Posted 30 October 2011 Posted 30 October 2011 My POV that I posted in the post match thread: This might sound weird but I think he's actually not that confident cuz the pressure is on him and he can't live up to our expectations so he overcompensates by acting in such an arrogant, tetchy fashion. His histrionics today werevbecause he just wasn't good enough to play himself into the game and he knew it. You'd think a guy who was playing for Wealdstone 6 years ago would relish every game at this level and play every game as a professional as though he was making up for lost time. Like Kevin Phillips did when he stepped up from non-league and Chris Smalling is now. Not JB though, he plays like someone who has been found out at this level but who doesn't have the desire or work ethic to do anything about it. I hope I've got him all wrong.
