Samilktray Posted 19 September 2012 Posted 19 September 2012 Best album of the year so far, by a long way for me.
The Doctor Posted 24 September 2012 Posted 24 September 2012 So, a stream of Muse's new album: http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/musicblog/2012/sep/24/muse-2nd-law-album-stream?fb=native The usual kitchen sink + a bit more from them then... Not quite sure what to think.
StanSP Posted 27 September 2012 Author Posted 27 September 2012 In reference to the post at the top of this page, here is Cave Painting's debut album So, a stream of Muse's new album: http://www.guardian....tream?fb=native The usual kitchen sink + a bit more from them then... Not quite sure what to think. It's different - but that's what I come to expect of Muse. 'Follow Me', 'Save Me' and 'Survival' are the best tracks on the album after first listen I think.
Daggers Posted 30 September 2012 Posted 30 September 2012 I cannot stress enough how good this album is: Obviously, Grizzly Bear have listened quite a lot to Pink Floyd and The Eagles. The result is a pop music masterpiece. One and a half songs until I realised that my increasingly foul mood was due to the singlemost annoying voice I've ever listened to. And I've listened to Ian Stringer. Best album of the year so far, by a long way for me. And then my mood improved as I listened to something with character, depth, talent and originality.
lcfcadam Posted 1 October 2012 Posted 1 October 2012 Flats - Better Living. Utterly essential 2012 listening http://www.bbc.co.uk/music/reviews/h9zb
MC Prussian Posted 1 October 2012 Posted 1 October 2012 Mother Mother are getting back on track after a rather mediocre output last year:
hairy Posted 2 October 2012 Posted 2 October 2012 Godspeed You Black Emperor have just announced they have a new album out in a couple of weeks. Ten years after the last! Should be good.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 11 October 2012 Posted 11 October 2012 And Tame Impala are back with a new album: It's a bit Shite also saw them play a lot of there new tracks live recently was a pretty lame gig.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 1 November 2012 Posted 1 November 2012 Been out a month or so now - Total Loss by How To Dress Well. Absolutely stunning lo-fi R'n'B, best thing I've heard this year without question. I'd encourage anyone to give it a listen.
Uncle Phil Posted 11 November 2012 Posted 11 November 2012 Just realised Swans - The Seer came out without me noticing. Time for a listen me thinks.
Jonezy Posted 20 November 2012 Posted 20 November 2012 Enjoying (III) from Crystal Castles. Impressed that they still manage to create this quality on their 3rd album. I find myself really enjoying this canadian electro thing with artists like Crystal Castles, Grimes, Austra and Trust.
vandamman Posted 2 December 2012 Posted 2 December 2012 Ben Howard - Burgh Island EP. Darker, heavier than his last album and altogether brilliant.
