James. Posted 30 March 2012 Posted 30 March 2012 Loving the Django Django album. Bought it a couple of months ago but only got round to listening to it over the last couple of weeks.
Daggers Posted 31 March 2012 Posted 31 March 2012 FWIW Agree with James. on the Django Django, it's stonking. Plus, if it's your cup of tea, Valentina by The Wedding Present is a return to force, Killing Joke's MMXII is probably their best to date and Anti-Flag's General Strike encapsulates the anger and venom of a modern day protest culture-filled world.
MC Prussian Posted 3 April 2012 Posted 3 April 2012 Phwoarrr - I give you the first proper album by Breton:
Jonezy Posted 10 April 2012 Posted 10 April 2012 From underground to mass appeal: Probably my favorite album so far this year. I was expecting aggressive hip hop or thrash metal with the name and that cover, instead I got The Knife meets Bat for Lashes with a twist. This song is catchy as hell...:
hairy Posted 12 April 2012 Posted 12 April 2012 I am enjoying the new Spiritualized album Huh? very much.
lcfcadam Posted 12 April 2012 Posted 12 April 2012 I am enjoying the new Spiritualized album Huh? very much. It's very good indeed, making me look forward to seeing them again...
MC Prussian Posted 15 April 2012 Posted 15 April 2012 Here We Go Magic used to be rather on the experimental side of alternative music, but the new album's quite smooth and pop-like. I don't mind - it's really good:
lcfcadam Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 I seriously, seriously recommend you listen to this: A masterpiece of a track, and the wait for the album is getting excruciating!
MC Prussian Posted 17 April 2012 Posted 17 April 2012 I seriously, seriously recommend you listen to this: A masterpiece of a track, and the wait for the album is getting excruciating! This one's not too shabby, either:
SemperEadem Posted 20 April 2012 Posted 20 April 2012 I reckon the Heartbreaks and The Crookes will be be big this year.
lcfcadam Posted 23 April 2012 Posted 23 April 2012 This one's not too shabby, either: You're not wrong - have given the previous album a proper listen and it's actually very good in its own right. Suspect Nootropics is going to take their sound to new-found levels though...
MC Prussian Posted 23 April 2012 Posted 23 April 2012 You're not wrong - have given the previous album a proper listen and it's actually very good in its own right. Suspect Nootropics is going to take their sound to new-found levels though... I've got the new album and I can but recommend the "Alphabet Song". Best track on it by a landslide. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xAxH-nYDKEQ
MC Prussian Posted 24 April 2012 Posted 24 April 2012 Co-produced by Danger Mouse. It shows, but hey - it's a great album, nevertheless:
MC Prussian Posted 8 May 2012 Posted 8 May 2012 If you love simple, hard rock (one guitar, one set of drums), I give you the new PS I Love You album: A sometimes crude, sometimes brilliant mix of new songs. Best track by far is "Final Contact".
lcfcadam Posted 15 May 2012 Posted 15 May 2012 This is brilliant New Animal Collective sounding good as well:
StanSP Posted 15 May 2012 Author Posted 15 May 2012 This is brilliant Icona Pop - I love It I love it! No really, I do! Very catchy.
goose2010 Posted 15 May 2012 Posted 15 May 2012 Any one got of monster of men's album, its pretty impressive male and female vocals bit like the xx meets Mumford.
goose2010 Posted 15 May 2012 Posted 15 May 2012 I'm looking forward to the debut album Boys & Girls from Alabama Shakes. Out in April. Really like these impressive debut hoping they get announced at Leeds
MC Prussian Posted 18 May 2012 Posted 18 May 2012 They're back and that in style - Jack Black and Kyle Glass:
MC Prussian Posted 22 May 2012 Posted 22 May 2012 Out now - a different approach style-wise, but I'm sure the tracks will grow on me with time:
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 23 May 2012 Posted 23 May 2012 Out now - a different approach style-wise, but I'm sure the tracks will grow on me with time: Didn't like Rabbit hole, London Burning and especially disliked Need your love but they have grown on me a lot and now really like it and the rest of the album. Solid follow up from there great debut. I'm loving this atm, real good summery album
