samlcfc1 Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 I think big sol's days might be numbered when Pearson arrives I just don't think he's a player that Pearson will appreciate..... Views ?
Happy Fox Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 I think big sol's days might be numbered when Pearson arrives I just don't think he's a player that Pearson will appreciate..... Views ? You know what I have a feeling Bamba may be employed in the holding role
dannythefox Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 He might have to change a little but he should be fine.
Schlupp Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 NP likes meathead center backs,The only thing I'm worried about is he came to the club because he worked for Sven in the World Cup right? He turned down Blackburn and OM in the summer,What if they come in for him in January?
lcfc81 Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 I think NP will be the making of Bamba. He's got everything and with NP as his tutor, I mean look what he did for Hobbs. Matt Mills= The wayne Brown role. Sol Bamba= The Hobbs role.
lovelcfc Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 he will have to stop taking so many risks but hes got enough quality any! can see that
Callabinho Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 He's our Best defender, NP won't sack him off, just improve his game
gazfox9 Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 He's certainly not an 'old fashioned centre half', but I can't see Pearson binning him if he comes. He's been playing well this season. Anyone know if he's going to the african nations??
Spiritwalker Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Why? He is possibly the best defender outside the Prem.
Kitchandro Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 No. He's been our best defender this season. Yes Pearson will probably coach him to be less gung-ho in possession, but I can't see any logical reason why it would be the end for him.
Guest ttfn Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Bamba might just be the best player at the club at the moment. Pearson would be bonkers to get rid of him.
Guest shearfox Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 His too good to be dropped one of the best in the league, Pearson may have a word with him about the unnecessary risks he takes but that would just make him even better.
Sods Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 He does love to play a left footed player in the middle. TUNCHEV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Howard9 Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 I think NP will be the making of Bamba. He's got everything and with NP as his tutor, I mean look what he did for Hobbs. Matt Mills= The wayne Brown role. Sol Bamba= The Hobbs role. So mills is going to become a racist ? Carnt say i didnt see it coming to be honest.

I thought that story was false and Blackburn were never interested? Blackburn are relegation fodder and we don't need to sell.
lcfcsnow Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Gone come January. The ego and style of play will not mix well with Pearsons management.
21st Century Fox Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 I sincerely hope not, we would have got shafted about 7-2 against Wet Spam if not for him. On a side note I hope Waggy's return doesn't break any of Schlupp's momentum in the squad.
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 The best player this season cannot suddenly go off the radar - Nigel worked with a modest budget before - he now has comparative riches!!! And in this case that means a different style of player...

somebum Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 Maybe bring him forward a bit, he doesn't have the concentration needed for a back 4 role but he is ok on the ball and can play in Wellens position if and when he gets the boot
m00nie Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 just said in other thread.. i can see sol being pushed out.. can see MILLS/SSL being the back 2,,, (thats if he dont go bringing hobbs back)
Alpha Gifts & Awards Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 From what I've seen, SSL seems to lack the strength required to be a very good defensive player. Reminds me a little of Gary Rowett getting easily turned by Ricketts v Bolton 0-5 at Filbo a few years ago.
Schlupp Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 I thought that story was false and Blackburn were never interested? Blackburn are relegation fodder and we don't need to sell. Kean confirmed there was an offer.
davieG Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 For all his 'scary' play he's been significantly less 'accident prone' that MIlls
iancognito Posted 7 November 2011 Posted 7 November 2011 He was head and shoulders above the rest on Sunday, though knowing how this club usually conducts it's transfer business I wouldn't be surprised to see us offload him in Jan for 500K and buy back Hobbs for 2.5M I'd rather have rid of Mills who seems to have become a nervous Nancy again since he came back in.
