Happy Fox Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 StringerSport Ian Stringer The Pearson to #lcfc saga should be concluded officially today from the Hull end. Maybe an announcement from them tonight #groundhogday 54 minutes ago
hackneyfox Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 5, but yes I agree with you. We were the form team, not Blackpool. And I think we would have won the final, certainly wouldnt have let in 3 like Cardiff did in the final. Apologies, I'd forgotten about our final run.
Larry_LCFC Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 Im bored of this whole managerial saga now. Going on way too long. We need a manager now so that there is time to mingle with the team and get some work done before sunday. Talk about dragging things out.
Babylon Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 People don't need to fall out and get personal with each other (Babylon this comment was not about you). Good you c*&k.
Larry_LCFC Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 http://www.thisisleicestershire.co.uk/Leicester-City-agree-deal-Hull-Nigel-Pearson-s/story-13844233-detail/story.html Nigel Pearson is expected to be named as Leicester City's new manager today after compensation was finally agreed with Hull City. Hull owner Assem Allam was holding out for more than £1 million before agreeing to allow Pearson to talk to City about succeeding Sven-Goran Eriksson But, after a week of frustration for City, Allam agreed to a compromise on Saturday. Pearson, below, was reported to have had a compensation clause of a minimum of £675,000 in his contract, the figure the Tigers are believed to have paid City for his services less than 18 months ago. But Allam was rocked when Pearson indicated he wanted to speak to City, who approached Hull last Saturday for permission to hold talks. The whole deal appeared on the brink of collapse on Friday because no agreement seemed possible and Pearson was reluctant to resign from his position at Hull. But Allam's stance is said to have softened over the weekend. Now City will finalise personal terms with Pearson and his assistants, Craig Shakespeare and Steve Walsh, before unveiling them as the management team City owners Vichai and Aiyawatt Raksriaksorn believe will take the club into the Premier League. When Pearson is unveiled, it will complete a remarkable return to City for the 48-year-old, who left City in June 2010. Pearson was appointed as City boss following their relegation to League One in 2008 and led them straight back to the Championship as champions before leading City to the play-off semi-finals the following season. Following City's penalty shoot-out defeat at Cardiff, optimism was high that City could again challenge for promotion but Pearson left to join Hull that summer after his relationship with chief executive Lee Hoos deteriorated. Following the departure of former owner Milan Mandaric and Hoos, and the arrival of the Raksriaksorns, there seemed no obstacle to Pearson's return and following the departure of Eriksson three weeks ago, Pearson emerged as the man the owners wanted. Pearson is expected to sign a contract, reportedly worth £1 million a year, and will be rewarded with a large bonus should he succeed in getting City into the Premier League

mancunianfox Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 We won 5 on the trot? Have we won more than 2 on the trot since he left? No. But then again, who wants to win five on the trot playing BORING FOOTBALL*** when we could loose three in a row and watch Sol Bamba try and do Cruyff turns in our own area??? ***Alledgedly.
Alexikokopops Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 Doesn't excite me doesn't depress me, bin there, done that worn the t shirt, I suppose it's a bit like renewing your wedding vows. I will welcome Nigel with open arms but the passion has gone from our relationship. He is safe, honest, caring, hardworking and yes at times attractive to me. But he is never going to excite me like my first love, MARTIN aaaahhhhh dear MARTIN, I've lost you forever, you were always to good for me, well out of my league. Anyway Nigel if we work hard enough we can make the relationship succeed yet again, but we will have to work on it... ... What I'm on? This is my favourite analogy so far

I am Rod Hull Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 We won 5 on the trot? Have we won more than 2 on the trot since he left? We won 5 on the trot last season.
Guest ttfn Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 We won 5 on the trot? Have we won more than 2 on the trot since he left? We won 5 in a row in February, which was part of a run of 7 wins in 8
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 We won 5 on the trot? Have we won more than 2 on the trot since he left? Yes we did, beat QPR 4-0, Posh 2-1, Watford 4-1, PNE 1-0, Boro 2-0 We did win 5 on the trot under Sven in Feb, beating Millwall, Sheff Utd, Barnsley, Derby, and Bristol. Still yet to win back to back this season! We won 6 on the trot last season. No it was 5, see above.

Saxondale Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 Still yet to win back to back this season! Bloody hell, that's depressing!
beemeroo Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 No. But then again, who wants to win five on the trot playing BORING FOOTBALL*** when we could loose three in a row and watch Sol Bamba try and do Cruyff turns in our own area??? ***Alledgedly. I love this constant dig at Bamba. How many goals have we conceded as a direct result of him 'messing around' and not pumping it into row z?
NewburyFox Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 I love this constant dig at Bamba. How many goals have we conceded as a direct result of him 'messing around' and not pumping it into row z? More luck than judgement in my opinion. I'm amazed that he hasn't been punished for any of his errors yet. That said, he's a class defender when he sticks to the basics.
Corky Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 You just know Bamba is going to mess up at some point, but as shown against Brighton, he can be a dominant defender without overplaying.

davieG Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 I dread to think how many posts and topics there would have been about Bombshell Bambi if it had been him heading the ball out to Clayton for the Leeds winner and not Mills.
Mack Posted 14 November 2011 Author Posted 14 November 2011 You just know Bamba is going to mess up at some point, but as shown against Brighton, he can be a dominant defender without overplaying. Are you still waiting for that? I have to admit I agreed at first, but it's been a long time now with no disaster, I think it's just his style. I hope Pearson doesn't bin him.
mancunianfox Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 I love this constant dig at Bamba. How many goals have we conceded as a direct result of him 'messing around' and not pumping it into row z? I like Bamba and it wasn't meant as a dig. I was referring to the lack of discipline within our back four. Just because you can do something, it doesn’t mean that you should.
Guest ttfn Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 I dread to think how many posts and topics there would have been about Bombshell Bambi if it had been him heading the ball out to Clayton for the Leeds winner and not Mills. Mills actually sort of wafted his foot at it rather than putting his foot through it or finding a team mate. It was a pathetic piece of defending. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Bamba is a much more "solid" defender than Mills.
look_back_in_amber Posted 14 November 2011 Posted 14 November 2011 simonhul Simon Clark Nigel Pearson's move from Hull City not yet done, possibly tomorrow according to source close to PUB. #hcafc

And people still question why the owner's took their decision. I find it horrible, and sometimes even embarrising I suppose, that having spent all this money and having all this and that said about us, we still haven't managed to win two back to back Championship matches.
