My boss is a Hull fan. And I've got a meeting with her tomorrow about a potential promotion. Must.... remember.... not.... to.... look.... smug.... or.... randomly.... sing.... Pearson.... songs.... :giggle: In fact, football is almost certainly a subject best avoided with her for the foreseeable future! >_<

She will already be plotting your downfall... This WILL get mentioned, by HER at the interview and she will feel vindicated in making a stand for the good of Hullkind.

What I took from watching the interview is the implied unrest we have within the team.

It appears that the rumours about Sven having dressing room problems were spot on.

I looked at the statement on the official site by top and i think its clear also that Sven had no clue how to motivate the players and Top thought he didn't really have the tactics for this division.....

Didn't you notice that from how we were playing/doing in the League??

Welcome back Nigel, this seems surreal!!

After watching the interview I am genuinely in shock.

I just can't believe he is back here after everything we've been through, and that's what makes it oh so much sweeter.

Just watching Pearson and listening to him brings everything flooding back, I can't wait to sing my heart out for him on sunday.

Well, yes... but i was pointing out, judging by his statement, what Top was thinking more than what i was thinking

Waghorn is simply useless I think we eventually see some good form In Beckford, Fryatt i think he's too happy at Hull, Hobbs personally may be interested in joining Pearson.

And you know this how?

He's coming home!

he's coming home!

he's coming!

Pearson's coming home!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely awesome news, shocking decision to push him out in the first place.

Also very pleased to see the positive reactions from most of the fans on here.

Let's give Nigel a homecoming to remember on Sunday!

Excellent news to wake up to. :scarf:

Nige and the boys sure look happy.

I don't think I can recall an NP smile as big as that.

It suits him. Bit maniacal hee hee!

That all came as a bit of a surprise, didn't it?

Anyway, best of luck to you, Nigel.

Although it remains to be seen whether you can continue where you left off 1 1/2 years ago.

These owners are impatient and want success.

If you can't deliver, there's the door.

Unless they've now changed the main goal for the season and would be happy with a Top 6 finish...

I can't say I am ecstatic - was not happy when Pearson went but not sure it was the best choice to go back. On the plus side, though, I would guess that we're paying less for all three of Pearson, Shakespeare and Walsh than we were for Sven. That must be eminently sensible in these times, however much cash we otherwise appear to splash around at the moment.

We will be more functional as a team, post-match interviews will be dull and we've gone from one of the most charming managers to one of the least charming. None of that will stop me cheering them on though and I'm hoping Pearson can work his stuff quickly enough to bring back some of the things we have been lacking so far this season. I fear for his job in the summer if we do not make the play-offs at the very least.
