Simo86 Posted 17 November 2011 Posted 17 November 2011 My England 23 if everyone is fully fit would be: Hart, Green, Foster (Carson if Foster stands by his retirement) Richards, Walker, Cole, Baines, Terry, Cahill, Lescott, Jagielka Walcott, A. Johnson, Young, Downing, Wilshere, Gerrard, Parker, Milner, Lampard Rooney, Bent, Welbeck There's obviously plenty of time for players club form to improve/dip but based on current form that is who I would take.

Thought he looked a class act when he first came into the side?
Leicesterpool Posted 17 November 2011 Posted 17 November 2011 Wouldn't bother taking Rooney to the euro, because he'll be out of the first three fixtures, which would mean he would miss the group stages. We'd be wasting a place on him. Also he's overated once he puts an England shirt on.

Agree with the inclusion of Rodwell, class act!
MC Prussian Posted 17 November 2011 Posted 17 November 2011 Whatever happened to Johan Vonlanthon? Thought he looked a class act when he first came into the side? Has faded away and been criticised for a lack of effort in the past, left to rot with the Red Bull Salzburg reserves until a couple of months ago. Now playing football in his native Columbia at Itagui Ditaires. Just not on Saturdays - he's a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

Another person who I'm glad isn't England manager.

Guest MattP Posted 17 November 2011 Posted 17 November 2011 clueless Last 2 major championships.... 8 games, 0 goals, 0 assists. Clueless is very harsh, Rooney has been extremely poor in major tournaments.

accessory Posted 17 November 2011 Posted 17 November 2011 Hart Green Stockdale Richards Walker Cahill Jagielka Smalling Lescott Baines Walcott Adam Johnson Parker Wilshere Jones Milner Lampard Young Sinclair Welbeck Bent Sturridge Agbonlahor I've let out most of the old guard and the egos. Rooney has neither the form nor the discipline for major tournaments, while others (Terry, Gerrard and Barry) are in decline.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 17 November 2011 Posted 17 November 2011 clueless Clueless?! Fact more like. Last 2 major championships.... 8 games, 0 goals, 0 assists. Clueless is very harsh, Rooney has been extremely poor in major tournaments. This. Rooney is a liability, and what has he ever done for England? He is so thick it is unbelievable. I am hoping he gets a 4 match ban if they appeal his red card. He might be talented, but he can go off form at times, and generally he is an accident waiting to happen. Hart, Green, Foster (Or who ever if he still doesnt want to go) Richards, Walker, Cole, Baines, Terry, Jagielka, Lescott, Jones Walcott, A. Johnson, Young, Downing, Wilshere, Gerrard, Milner, Barry Crouch, Bent, Sturridge, Defoe
Bugg Posted 17 November 2011 Posted 17 November 2011 Joe Hart (Man City), Robert Green (West Ham), Ben Foster (WBA) Micah Richards (Man City), Kyle Walker (Spurs), Ryan Shawcross (Stoke), Phil Jones (Man Utd), Phil Jagielka (Everton), Joleon Lescott (Man City), Ashley Cole (Chelsea), Leighton Baines (Everton) Theo Walcott (Arsenal), Adam Johnson (Man City), Ashley Young (Man Utd), Stewart Downing (Liverpool), Tom Cleverley (Man United) , Jack Wilshere (Arsenal), Jack Rodwell (Everton), Gareth Barry (Man City), Steven Gerrard (Liverpool) Darren Bent (Aston Villa), Wayne Rooney (Man United), Jermaine Defoe (Tottenham), Danny Welbeck (Man Utd) I don't really rate Welbeck but I don't really know who else to put up front, we need to take an extra front man because of Rooney being a prat and getting himself suspended, Carroll is a massive bag of cack and Having him would be the equivalent of taking 22 players. Also I'd pick Cleverley if he develops into a key player for United by the end of the season, if not Lampard for his final tournament. Oh, and please don't laugh at me putting Shawcross, last season he was an absolute beast and should be playing for England more regularly.
NGoloMode Posted 17 November 2011 Posted 17 November 2011 Wait until the end of the season.. A lot of people leaving Ferdinand out but if Sir Alex is confident he can adjust his game to the pace he's lost then I'm confident too. Chamberlain looks top quality every time I've seen him play and would love to see him play first team football this season.

Chamberlain looks top quality every time I've seen him play and would love to see him play first team football this season. Everytime I have seen Utd on tv or MOTD, Ferdinand has looked piss poor. I've never eated him anyway, but now ith no pace and certainly no brain, he looks vulnerable all the time. Phil Jones is the future, should be brinnging the likes of him through.

FoxyPV Posted 17 November 2011 Posted 17 November 2011 We could go back to the Charlton days of having every shit Englishman under the sun playing for us and I still wouldn't care - 1st Euros in 24 years!!!
