Gaelic (or Scottish Gaelic as it is sometimes known outside Scotland) has similarities to the other Celtic languages, and is particulary close to Irish (or Irish Gaelic) to the extent that a mutual understanding is possible. Another variant of Gaelic is spoken in the Isle of Man (a small tax haven between England and Ireland) called Manx Gaelic.

Quite a few places that speak slightly different GALIC

Are you now trying to make his point? and it's GAELIC spelled G-A-E-L-I-C. The Bretons also speak what is constituted as a Celtic language, but it's called Breton in Brittany. I don't see where you are going with this. Have you been on the pop today or something?

What a lot of utter bollox this thread has become......

A decent conversation on multi culturalism has again become a personal argument.

Tiresome...

I'm so racist I don't like people who can tan.

And how dare some people communicate with their hands? Just rude when I'm trying to tell them to get my way.

I'm thinking he might be a post-modern performance artist and this is all an elaborate conceptual piece.... maybe.

I'm not in the slightest bit interested in what other languages people speak, because I am English live in England and don't need to speak anything else. What is the bloody point of this thread? is it just an excuse for a load of sad acts to tell a uncaring world about their ancestry .

Just found this, i though it might educate you a little, Gaelic (or Scottish Gaelic as it is sometimes known outside Scotland) has similarities to the other Celtic languages, and is particulary close to Irish (or Irish Gaelic) to the extent that a mutual understanding is possible. Wait, there is no such language as just "gaelic", but there's 3 different forms of a gaelic language? - Do you want to try reading my OP again, because that's what I said and you disputed/

Can anyone advise me on what tv channel or radio I may educate myself by hearing those wonderful nearly lost languages . :dunno: :dunno: :dunno: :dunno: :dunno:

Just wander into Wales wearing a bowler hat and eating jellied eels - Listen in to peoples conversations and you'll know how to insult people in Welsh.
