mustapha_teabreak Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 He said everybody gets a chance. So what do we get? donkey howard, dire, wellens. same old losers from before. where's johnson, fernandes, schlupp, danns, abe? some didn't even make the bench today. i can't believe with some of the players in the squad his starting line-up contains those sh!tbags. don't tell me he's going to bring back waghorn and put a bid in for fryup january. i really will stop my support if that happens.
Jimmy Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 he sounded really pissed in his interview, I expect changes for Boxing day
JmorsonLCFC Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 howard didn't do anything wrong and he set up the goal. wellens need to go, johnsons overweight, i would play fernandes and abe, schlupp i think needs a loan spell, and danns has been given a chance. but it is the players fault and not the managers, we are creating the chances but not taking any of them. couldve been 5-0 today.
Jimmy Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 and overweight Johnson is vastly superior to an overweight Wellens
cc_star Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 Good, you won't be missed. Ferndes, Johnson are worth a look Danns is dire & Abe is sub-average. There's a lot wrong, defence & forwards are shit too. If only we had £15m to spend in the summer & manager who could sign players to propell us into the top 6 as a result... No wait we did spend the players achieved just as little as the team has in last 3 games...

How does that work??
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 I think he will make a lot of changes, bet he was seething with that performance. The centre backs and whole midfield have a lot to worry about. Would like to see Johnson in but he didnt look at all fit when he last played, he barely was able to move. Abe and Fernandes should be knocking on the door to get in the team though the lack of creativity worries me with those two. Danns has been disappointing so far, but also could deserve another chance.
Kitchandro Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 A lot of our players aren't good enough, not just the ones that started today. I do think starting Wellens, King and Howard was wrong, but Johnson, Abe, Danns and Beckford have all been crap as well, and they HAVE had chances. Lets not pretend we have a season-changer on the bench right now.

JmorsonLCFC Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 How does that work?? well for a start we would've scored about five if we took our chances and the game would be put to bed.
Kitchandro Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 well for a start we would've scored about five if we took our chances and the game would be put to bed. I remember 2 chances that fell to the worst finisher in the world Wellens, one that fell to King who's lost all goalscoring touch, other than that we had no chances.

Johnson hasn't he's played a handful of games and Danns always gets shunted out wide, as for Beckford he needs service which our midfield haven't given him

Kitchandro Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 Johnson hasn't he's played a handful of games and Danns always gets shunted out wide, as for Beckford he needs service which our midfield haven't given him Johnson has looked unfit, whether he is or not is a different matter but he's not been up to scratch in his games. Danns hasn't always been shunted out wide, he's started a few in the centre and has been just as crap there, and even if he has been out wide it doesn't excuse his performances which have been mostly poor. Beckford wasn't even trying before Pearson came and to say he has the touch of a blacksmith would be unkind to blacksmiths, it's very hard to defend him so far. These players have far from impressed.
Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 Pearson said we need to be more clinical and take our chances ............. SO HE PLAYS HOWARD????
glen parva fox Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 Game over wait for next season, watching this team at the moment is so frustrating and seeing the players not getting game is criminal, obviously dear old Nigel does not rate his squad too highly and can't see him making a big impact in the transfer window.
Corky Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 Pearson needs to make changes for next week, one point from three (with two very winnable games) is simply not good enough. Several are under-performing and need to be dropped.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 Think the team will have quite a few changes for the next game
dog_4 Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 at the end of the day schmeichel is top notch! and the defence which performs well with mills in it is one of the best! nigel has stated he wants width in January and Billy Sharp! problem we have at the moment is no width and options on the bench is a goalkeeper, one defender, two defensive midfielders and usually steve howard! after jan we'll have waghorn, sharp,or nugent or beckford! dyer or gallagher, tunchev and a keeper! matches are usually goaless at half time and need fresh legs with quality to come on! something we dont have atm!
smudger63 Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 Listening to the Pearson interview, i felt he was more concerned with the defence than the midfield. I think he may drop Bamba, and may even drop st ledger and bring in both Tunch and mills. If he makes any changes to the midfield, it will be dyer or Gally. He wont drop his golden boy wellens, thats for sure.
deep blue Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 I remember 2 chances that fell to the worst finisher in the world Wellens, one that fell to King who's lost all goalscoring touch, other than that we had no chances. What about the free header that Howard had. Instead of directing it downwards towards the corner, he headed it straight at the keeper. Classic.
5waller5 Posted 17 December 2011 Posted 17 December 2011 Pearson said we need to be more clinical and take our chances ............. SO HE PLAYS HOWARD???? THIS!! Pearson has no plan b?
cc_star Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 Nigel Pearson: "I need to change the players' mentality, or change the players themselves" Enough said
accessory Posted 18 December 2011 Posted 18 December 2011 Nigel Pearson: "I need to change the players' mentality, or change the players themselves" Enough said The mentality's not changed since he was last here. Some players were inadequate then, and have become even more so now.
