LCFCstriker Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 Jacob Mellis from Chelsea, scored for Barnsley here last seen, look a good player to me, midfielder too. I was just thinking this, a quality, creative, attacking midfielder. Realistic too on a loan deal
FrankieADZ Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 I was just thinking this, a quality, creative, attacking midfielder. Realistic too on a loan deal We could even try & push our luck with a permanent deal i reckon, as I cant see him getting a chance at Chelsea.
LCFCstriker Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 We could even try & push our luck with a permanent deal i reckon, as I cant see him getting a chance at Chelsea. Probably, I think he's 20, 21 so he might cut his losses at Chelsea to play regular football
ibbosuk Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 I am now having grave doubts about Pearson as the manager, HIS formations, team selections, tactics, usual aftermatch excuses, lack of motivational nous, I really think the owners should pull the plug on all transfer activity in or out of the club. This team is nowhere near play off material and should TRY to grind out enough points to keep us in this division for next season.
montyw93 Posted 14 January 2012 Posted 14 January 2012 I would like midfielders who can tackle and be creative and a winger who can cross it past the first deffender
dannythefox Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 We need someone to replace pelts he's solid in 4-4-2 but when going forward he's gash and defo cost us one goal today maybe two. He's know Kyle Naughton which for some reason most of our fans think he is, he's a quarter of the player Naughton is fact!

dannythefox Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Marvin Sordell please been asking for this for a while can play attaching midfielder!
dannythefox Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 And not everyone will like this but I did say in the summer Marlon King will do but he only got two goals and two assists today probably not good enough for us though!
LCFC2007 Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Just a thought but i think Niko Kranjcar would a great addition to the squad, quality creative midfielder, get him in on loan maybe?
LCFC2007 Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 okk, obviously people didnt take to the idea of niko kranjcar but heard that a few championship teams were after nick montgomery. From what I've seen of him he is a good solid tough tackling midfielder which is what leicester need, someone who gets stuck in (unlike andy king), would be a good signing in my opinion and possibly a cheaper option.
chili_con_carne Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Please anyone but andy king. He is awful!
bluearmyfox23 Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Who is he playing for? And was he the one that played for Sheffield united last year?
LCFC2007 Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Who is he playing for? And was he the one that played for Sheffield united last year? yes he still plays for sheffield united, could do a good job i think
Frank_mckenzie Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Olifinjana is what we need in midfield just to start with
dannythefox Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Were going to have a problem getting any new players with the league position were in.
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 To the people who are saying sign position X, Y and Z, can you actually name 4 midlfielders who are realistic targets, or a mobile target man, or a better centre half. If you are offering names then fair enough but just stating the obvious at what positions we need isn't exactly insightful.

Jamie Ward- winger Albert Adomah-winger Keith Andrews-playmaker Lewis Dunk-CB
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 Jamie Ward- winger Albert Adomah-winger Keith Andrews-playmaker Lewis Dunk-CB Both Andrews and Dunk are being trailed by premier league sides so are unrealistic looking at our current situation, Ward has had half a good season and would be disgustingly overpriced.
Cropwellfox Posted 15 January 2012 Posted 15 January 2012 It's not the big names or egos that effective in this league - its often a bit of talent, precocious youngsters and players who know how to do a job (see Barnsley yesterday for perfect example) - on that basis the list below could feature many many others... Kane Ferdinand Ched Evans Andy Bishop Chris Taylor Nick Montgomery Kris Boyd Marvin sordell Gael Bigirimana Ben Marshall Matt Ritchie Liam Lawrence Oscar gobern Jason Puncheon Pretty much anybody with a pulse and able to point themselves in the right direction would be a marked improvement on what we are seeing at the moment
