Collymore Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Watched the game tonight and I wasn't that impressed with Rhodes. I'd of bagged at least 8 against that Wycombe defence, probably the worst display defensively since .... Actually I don't think I've seen one! In the first half I could have had 10 pints and a curry and jogged through Wycombe's defence, that's not a joke if you saw it!! Come on guys, we've got Beckford who is twice the player Rhodes is in regards to L1. The step up from L1 to the championship is soooooooooo vast.

ibbosuk Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Jutkiewicz is no better than what we've got now,If anything it's a step backwards and I'm not just saying that because he plays for Cov. Perhaps you should add "In your opinion" when making a statement like that.. Because its not one I share.
Guest ttfn Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Come on guys, we've got Beckford who is twice the player Rhodes is in regards to L1. The step up from L1 to the championship is soooooooooo vast. Agree with you that the step up can be big, although prolific strikers at that level (Lambert, Sharp, Fryatt, Cox when given game time) have shown themselves to be at the very least competent in a higher division. Currently Beckford is the exception that proves the rule, although hopefully that won't be the case by the end of the season. But the most amount of goals Beckford ever got at that level in an entire season was 27. Rhodes has 25 after 25 games.
LeicesterfoxesKid Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Kazenga LuaLua fast skillful and can shoot good midfielder
MikeyT Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Is this just a want? Or have we actually been linked with him somewhere?
Mission Unlikely Promotion Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Kazenga LuaLua fast skillful and can shoot good midfielder Who?
MattyR Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Is that the Blackpool striker? No that's Lomana, Kezenga is his younger brother (?) winger at Brighton
ComeGetMe Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 we need maynard from bristol city cuz hes powerful and fast and if beckfords form improves theyd go well together
darko2k7 Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 I see Simon Cox got a hat-trick today against Cardiff . I think we could get this lad on loan at least .
deep blue Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 I see Simon Cox got a hat-trick today against Cardiff . I think we could get this lad on loan at least . I suggested Cox on "1st player to be signed in Jan" thread as I'm sure I just read that he wants a loan to get playing time. Can see Pearson being interested - he came very close to signing him in 2009. (If only he had; could have made the difference between us getting auto and not).
ronnup Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Dos Santos if he doesn't go permanently somewhere.
broughtonblue Posted 7 January 2012 Posted 7 January 2012 Alan Smith? Really had forgotten about this bloke, not played for a year because of injury but apparently fully fit. Could be just the combative midfielder who chips in with a few goals we need, whether on loan with an option to buy or straight transfer fee.
Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 8 January 2012 Posted 8 January 2012 Has came out recently and said he's frustrated with the lack of opportunies. I'm sure Newcastle were willing to let him leave for free in the summer too, would definitely take him to be our defensive center midfielder and break the play up, would then need someone creative!
Bugg Posted 8 January 2012 Posted 8 January 2012 He's gone over 90 games without scoring, I wouldn't call that "chipping in with a few goals"
The Doctor Posted 8 January 2012 Posted 8 January 2012 He's gone over 90 games without scoring, I wouldn't call that "chipping in with a few goals" He's worse than Beckford? I thought that was impossible.
FoxTrott Posted 8 January 2012 Posted 8 January 2012 Please, just give us one decent playmaker. Someone who can hold the ball for a few strides and make a clinical pass. Nothing fancy. A Modric type of workhorse. Give us Wellens from a couple of seasons ago. I don't know who, but that'd be great. Thanks.

foxfanazer Posted 8 January 2012 Posted 8 January 2012 Could have been Jacob Butterfield. But he's got a nasty injury. this, gutted he's injured! From what I've seen of him he would've been perfect for us. Don't know if he was on pearson's radar though
dave_the_fox Posted 8 January 2012 Posted 8 January 2012 this, gutted he's injured! From what I've seen of him he would've been perfect for us. Don't know if he was on pearson's radar though I think i read he was off to everton anyway
Solihullfox Posted 8 January 2012 Posted 8 January 2012 We should be in for Dorrans, he is just what our midfield needs and seems to be out of favour at West Brom.
Happy Fox Posted 8 January 2012 Posted 8 January 2012 We should be in for Dorrans, he is just why our midfield needs and seems to be out of favour at West Brom. Not a bad shout, him in the middle of the park alongside King would be potentially excellent
Frank_mckenzie Posted 8 January 2012 Posted 8 January 2012 Stewart, olifinjana, dorrans, kebe, that is a midfield
